Yahoo included their cert private key inside the Axis Chrome extension.. (means anybody can sign extension as yahoo).. by jukenin netsec

This I agree with. But I am concerned that I did not see anything in his post about talking to Yahoo.

Yahoo included their cert private key inside the Axis Chrome extension.. (means anybody can sign extension as yahoo).. by jukenin netsec

[–]yalogin -13 points-12 points ago

My question is why the fuck did the guy announce it to the world? He should contact Yahoo first and then once its resolved blog about it and get the credit. Its unethical and more like beating someone (Yahoo) while they are down. Not cool.

Shaq to discuss GM opening with Orlando Magic by kevlarbombin nba

[–]yalogin 1 point2 points ago

If Shaq can get that kind of consideration from teams, why wasn't Barkley considered for positions like these? He seems to have a better grasp on things and a much more analytical brain than Shaq.

Is Google Chrome any better than Firefox? by brodie268in AskReddit

[–]yalogin 0 points1 point ago

Performance wise I don't see any difference. I am more used to some add-ons which are only on firefox so stick to it. The biggest thing for me is firefox strives to further privacy and good citizenry on the web. Google has no real motive to do that since it makes money off of people's data. That fact alone will not make me switch. Firefox needs our support more than ever given how google and microsoft are carving up the main portal to the web, the browser.

If Google offered a paid for search service that did not collect your data for anything other than optimising your searches, would you use it? by crankdantin privacy

[–]yalogin 5 points6 points ago

That is what Google does now. It does not sell our data to anyone directly, it creates an abstraction (ad platform) and sells it to advertisers. How will that be different when they take money?

“We invested in [DuckDuckGo] because there is a need for a private search engine. We did it for the Internet anarchists, people that hang out on Reddit and Hacker News.” - VC Fred Wilson by amartzin technology

Since when does hacker news have internet anarchists? I thought its all people trying to make a buck (granted by writing code or catering to them). I would say people over there will be more willing to sell your personal data for profit.

Is it just me, or is Dwade quickly moving up the ranks as the most hated player in basketball right now? by AnInconvenientBoofin nba

[–]yalogin 4 points5 points ago

Settle down people. Its all part of Wade's massive sacrifice for his friend Lebron. He wanted to take the pressure off of Lebron by becoming the most hated player himself so that James can focus on basketball and winning. He is a great team player.

/joke.

Barkley, "the other team has NBA players, too" by myhouseisgodin nba

Barkely is looking more and more like a master with great analysis skills, more so after Shaq joined the team.

OKC exploits Andrew Bynum’s weakness by spammailsin nba

[–]yalogin 1 point2 points ago

Shouldn't Brown be already knowing this and prepared for it? They should have tried to nullify that advantage and put OKC's game plan in disarray. Instead they are now left to scramble and appear clueless.

Looks like the Grizzlies gave up. The crowd is not into it anymore either.

Mitt Romney Walks Away From a Dying Medical Marijuana Patient by McDaddyJesusin politics

So you not voting for Obama then? All politicians are the same, especially when it comes to pot.

Mitt Romney Walks Away From a Dying Medical Marijuana Patient by McDaddyJesusin politics

[–]yalogin 1 point2 points ago

He is a politician what would you expect him to say? It was a lose-lose situation for him. If he sympathizes with him, people will say he is for Marijuana, else they will call him a sociopath on Reddit. This cannot be the only situation where there are bad laws hurting people right? Let me put it differently, what would Obama have done? My guess is the same. He would have walked away without the stupid smirk on his face like Romney did.

Don't worry guys, its easy to close out games. Just have to make sure you start aggressive and they will fold. by yaloginin nba

[–]yalogin[S] 21 points22 points ago

Fuck! Just watched Bynum's press conference. The dude is a selfish immature idiot. He actually said he was dazed looking at the Nuggets shooting. He essentially said he gave up. It's tough to build a team around someone who does not show pride.

GAME THREAD: Los Angeles Lakers (3-2) @ Denver Nuggets (2-3) - (May. 10, 2012) by SnapelovesHarrysMomin nba

What the fuck is wrong with Bynum? I see him jogging back even before Barnes finished missing the shot. He is just there to fill the body count but not helping at all.

Maybe hearing some first person accounts of what it's like to have Kobe as a teammate will change your mind about his personality ... maybe it won't by clever_user_namein nba

[–]yalogin 1 point2 points ago

Thats where greatness comes into play. He was able to inspire and motivate himself even when people generally told him he was the best player of his era. It's like winning the lottery and then working even harder every day.

Person of Interest: Andrew Bynum by undain nba

[–]yalogin 0 points1 point ago

It looks like Bynum (and some times Gasol) complain to the media about not getting the ball enough. How do the players and coach communicate? Does Bynum for example tell the coach (and his teammates) he wants more touches? Do they talk about what each of them likes to do? Or is it a strict NO to talk openly with the coach about it?

A woman just called me a pedophile after I politely held the door open for her two year old daughter. What horrendous, unjustifiable accusations have you faced, Reddit. by Speteorin AskReddit

Another "AskReddit" waiting to happen -- Reddit, I was at the supermarket the other day and this asshole for no reason was treating a man in a wheel chair like he was mentally retarded. What other out of the world human reactions did you see?

How do the telescopes like the Hubble work? by yaloginin askscience

[–]yalogin[S] 0 points1 point ago

Thanks for the answer. So the Hubble telescope in space to eliminate possibilities of the photons' direction being changed by other factors.

If I may bullshit for a bit, the light traveling through space would travel through various "fluids" (multiple environments for various stars/planets). Is the direction of the light impacted by this? If so without knowing what it travels through we do not know how the direction is impacted is it?
