Between my house and our highschool, all housing blocks were built in cookie cut rows of 2 houses, by 6 houses with back yards divided between 6foot fences. We played a game called Backyard Commando where two kids had to jump out of the car at the beginning of the row of houses and race through their "column" of backyards to the waiting car on the other side. We were assholes, so we would get bonus points for picking up random shit and running with it. You never knew what to expect on the other side of the fence. Dogs, BBQs, children's birthdays...
