TROPHY CASE

Do you consider fussy eaters rude? by CheatasaurusRexin AskReddit

[–]vs_model 0 points1 point ago

Some would consider me a fussy eater. I have a very sensitive palette and simply can't stomach certain food textures (ie. rice pudding), degrees of "freshness" (milk older than a few days makes me gag) or food flavoured by other foods or strong smells (fishy or even metals tastes in food that have been in contact or close proximity with such items).

I always politely state that I'm fine whenever offered questionable items just to be safe. I try not to offend and do it before anyone goes through the trouble of preparing anything for me. I know it may be rude to you but would you rather I politely decline or be puking in your bathroom moments later because I ate something that triggered a bad reaction?

This does not mean I'm not an adventurous eater. If my curiosity is getting the best of me I always ask for a list of ingredients and cooking preparations and blame it on a pseudo nut allergy or recently having food poisoning (not far off since I tend to get food-related illnesses quite often).

What is the stupidest work policy you've ever dealt with at a job? by jumbletonin AskReddit

[–]vs_model 0 points1 point ago

Yes. Apparently it's technically against the labour laws where I live to force employees to wear heels.

To be honest even though it's a policy and I could be written up and eventually fired for not complying I do not wear heels. I am 5'10; I really don't need to be any taller plus it makes it harder to work.

I can't lie, the majority of the girls that work at this restaurant could use a sandwich. They hire based on looks while experience is secondary. As long as you fit the profile, regardless of how you maintain it you're in. The moment you start to lose that desired image they replace you.

They are known for their quick turn-a-round.

I work for a major retailer which requires all female associates to wear heels/pumps during all shifts which fall on Wednesday through Sunday.

Bonus: I, at one point, was hired by a restaurant that required its FOH staff to agree to a weight clause in their employment contracts. We were not allowed to gain more than 5lbs at time of hire in order to maintain employment.

Yes. I am often easily distracted and sometimes focus so intently on one thing that everything else around me becomes a blur.

I've walked into poles, doors other inanimate objects because of this flaw. . .

As a Canadian with a real fear of geese from loons to the massive Mother Goose kind, situations like this leave me in the corner crying.

My ex found it hilarious to bring me absurdly close to a pack and notify me of their proximity with a sly grin on his face.

OH YEA, THAT'S RIGHT YOU BASTARD. I KNOW YOU DID THAT SHIT ON PURPOSE!?

Replace sweatpants with workout spandex/tights and that would be my everyday wardrobe but I also spend my days in a lab.

Don't want to mess up my decent clothes with bacterial spills.

As a senior I still have this feeling. . .

It may because I have mostly labs and my profs know me by name since our classes are so small now.

GGG on group assignments by Lapidin AdviceAnimals

I'm apparently a GGGina then because not only do I do this but I gladly take on the tasks of others and never accept anything less than an A.

Basically my group partners through life have always enjoyed the free-ride and I'm okay with it.

Urban Decay Naked or Naked 2 Palette by nic5483in MakeupAddiction

[–]vs_model 0 points1 point ago

I have warm skin with deep yellow undertones.

Despite having a skin type better suited for the naked palette I bought the naked 2 due to the better mix of matte and shimmer shades and the fact that the black (blackout) is a matte as opposed to a shimmer in the original palette. I honestly couldn't be more pleased. I spent hours (literally) swatching in Sephora with both palettes and I feel the naked 2 is truly a nude "naked" palette with a wide range of colours. I found the naked to be more of a palette of golds and browns but not able to give that true nude feeling.

Yea kind of right in the sense that even though it is a legitimate field it is a cop-out major. As a biotech/poli sci student I took psych classes for easy A's. Even my own brother who finished his honours psych with thesis degree admitted it was a joke.

I really hope no one takes this the wrong way but as a taller female and one who rarely looks down, I often find myself stumbling over small children or little people as I don't really pay attention to anything below my shoulder level.

I give them the standard, "Are you sure?" look.

In my experience, even if they say or imply that they are comfortable with the height difference the insecurities usually have a way of creeping up.

"Oh, hey you're wearing heels tonight? I don't think you really need them. . ." sigh

I'm 5'10, by the way, and have dated shorter.

Is it possible to check my own credit? by stickininyoureyein AskReddit

I'm Canadian as well and when banks or other companies perform credit checks they go to Equifax or Transunion, if not both. I recently signed up for online credit monitoring with Transunion and am able to see everthing from my score, to debt profile to who has performed inquiries on my credit in the last 5 years. It costs to view it online but you always contact either company and have them mail it to you for free.

Transunion and Equifax allow you to view your complete credit profile without damaging it since you are the one requesting it. You can view it online or request it by mail. I'm not sure if banking institutions will accept it for credit analysis purposes but you can always try.
