2 DHC 1 Torp 1 DBB fore 3 turrets rear. all my powers are in the tray if you wanna know what powers I'm using. I'm also playing around with a 2 part omega force 2 part borg set build for the tet glider. I usually do 3 part borg + maco shields but this tet glider is letting me melt shields.

they had 2 carriers a pure healing star cruiser (he was the only one to out heal me. star cruiser is the best healer in the game, and you can see by his stats he had one job: healing) and 2 escorts. We had an Intrepid retrofit, 2 oddys, and 2 escorts.

It was really close but in the end they had more tanks and the moment you targeted someone they suddenly had no less than 2 extend shields on them so we had to draw people away. I ended up using my self as bait and sitting in one position letting 4 of them wail on me while we pushed one away with repulsers and my teammates would all gang up on them. It was one of the most intense gaming experiences of my life. All our fingers were numb from the amount of micro we had to dish out. I was lucky most of my team are ex military. made communication alot easier haha.

This is the basis of my "Two degrees of Star trek" theory. Much like the "6 degrees of Kevin Bacon" you can take any tv show or movie and in 2 jumps or less I can get you back to star trek. Try it...It works!

one of the good things about having played since launch is I got grandfathered into the multiple characters. Ya, so if thats the case I can see your point about generalizing your skills. Just remember you are only hurting yourself and your team by doing so. but its all subjective so it really doesn't matter as long as you are enjoying the game! good luck with your build.

I like to play star trek online while watching episodes of trek on my second monitor. I had just logged out and quickly paused the episode because I like to fall asleep listening to star trek as well.

I can take a character from start to lvl 50 in about a week now taking advantage of doffs and mirror universe events and such (the thinking being that cryptic makes more money from you buying lvl 50 ships then low lvl ships so they want you to lvl really fast). IMHO you should just make an engineer and fly a cruiser and roll a tactical captain and fly an escort. I'm much happier having my characters specialized then all around ok. I feel less bipolar haha.

excelsior or sci oddy. excelsior has one of the best cruiser turn rates and can do decent dps. the oddy has the best hull and shields for tanking and is just a beast. I would not spend money on the galX but an oddy or excelsior....thats where its at.

btw are you jumping between an escort and a cruiser? because I used to do that but realized that something like "threat generation" which is beyond essential for a cruiser is deadly to an escort, so one of your problems might be that your skills are ill designed to take advantage of the ship you should be flying.

i'm in a tac oddy, but the sci oddy is the best (for sensor scan) and the eng oddy's console is EXTREMELY helpful.

I tank in my oddy with 3 part borg set and MACO shields. I hardly every die in pvp, and I pretty much pvp exclusively now. takes 4+ people to take me down.
