I was actually thinking of Army deserters and Muslim groups. Deserters face prison time and their families do certainly get questioned.

Some American dissidents have tried going to Canada, but Canada refuses them and ships them back.

Also it's also China that wants them to GTFO. Many Chinese dissidents regret the move.

MIT Builds A Needle-Free Drug Injector by QuattroStigin technology

[–]uriman 4 points5 points ago

Science is built on further science.

If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of Giants -- Newton

This is also how US patent law works.

MIT created an electromagnet-powered needle (more portable & reusable than gas) that has millisecond control and rapid charge times. It can break the skin at one speed and inject or suck at another.

Shipping options: 17 - 28 days or... um... maybe I'll just wait. by jrhabermanin funny

These are Chinese sellers who typically sell on ebay. They can sell so cheap because they get a government subsidy. If you want expedited shipping, it would have to go through air courier like FedEx/UPS/DHL which costs that much shipping internationally. I remember shipping Google Nexus, which is like 2 lbs with a box the size of a loaf of bread was $80 and UPS was $110+. Go to FedEx.com or Ups.com and try shipping say 3 lbs across the world.

IBM banned employees from using Siri after it was revealed that Apple got a copy of everything you spoke to it by josefonsecain technology

FAA said they would release private jet data in near real-time and WSJ stated that you could have used if available before to predict several mergers. Another may have tipped people off too.

So if that can be done with minutia. The possibilities people could do with all the data Apple collected could be endless. Plus, a lot of those execs are dumber than a bag of rocks especially regarding technology.

I wonder if it is possible for Apple to limit searches to IBM/Intel/Google/MS/Oracle employees (programmers or execs).

Wouldn't this data be super valuable? Imagine collecting the Siri questions/dictations of all Fortune 500 companies' CEOs and then selling to a hedgefund.
