The only thing I can think of is that it sounds like you may be high-school aged, and most of the dislike toward you stems mostly from you not fitting in with their clique. It also sounds like your friend enjoys the perks of being part of this clique, without really caring too much for the people that comprise it.

Your friend needs to make a choice between what sounds like his genuine caring feelings for you, and the social circle he happens to be a part of. Otherwise it isn't fair to you, his "true" friend.

This has been in the Terms Of Use for years. They haven't changed it since they bumped the number of unique devices allowed on the account to 50 (a fairly recent change--within the last 3 or 4 months), and as far as I know, it read exactly the same even when you could stream on 4 devices concurrently while on the 7.99 streaming-only plan.
