Awww... a doxie butt!

I get why some atheists are angry- I almost put my iphone into my windshield when I read this. Maybe some of you could share your moments like this with me. by VonIsengardin atheism

[–]trekbette 1 point2 points ago

My heart hurts for the loss of your beautiful hound. This statement by Aaron Freeman made me feel a little better when my beloved dog passed.

I'm going to generalize here, but for most atheists I know, myself included, grief for lost loved ones is so much harder to bear.

I'm sending you a virtual hug. Tomorrow or the next day, rub your belly and share happy memories of your sweet dog with your baby. For now, give yourself a time to grieve and give yourself a break.

Is it weird for a teenager to get along with his/her parents? by PeaceFreaksin AskReddit

[–]trekbette 0 points1 point ago

No. I got along fine with my Dad. I was an only child of a single parent. We had to work together to make life liveable.

Reddit, what is something you eat every day? by IntoTheMysticin AskReddit

I recently discovered Peanut Butter Cherrios. Love them! I have them for breakfast more often than not.

The only thing I can think of that I have every day is Diet Pepsi.

Your username's the title of a horror movie-- what's the plot? by Goldarrrin AskReddit

[–]trekbette 0 points1 point ago

It doesn't matter. Mine would be a straight-to-DVD, destined for the bargain bins sort of horror movie. Maybe set in space.

Reddit, what is a candy that you can't believe anyone actually likes? by VioletBeauregardin AskReddit

Gummy worms.

I like other gummy stuff, but when I put a gummy worm in my mouth, I start to think that it must be what a real worm would feel like. I have never successfully eaten even one gummy worm.

I downloaded this book. I read his short What Happens in Vegas and was definitely interested in reading more of the story.

Thanks bobbyshane.

Anyone remember a movie named 'The Keep'? by d_ahurain horror

[–]trekbette 1 point2 points ago

I've read all but the last book in the series. I have been hesitant to watch The Keep because I cannot see how it can in any way compare to the book.

Debating whether to read the books? You've seen every episode of True Blood? Skip the first book. by WandersFarin TrueBlood

[–]trekbette 4 points5 points ago

I liked the first book, Dead Until Dark. It introduced the True Blood universe nicely. I think my favorites are Club Dead (3) and Living Dead in Dallas (2).

The last book I read, Dead Reckoning (11) was just... boring. It was like a day in the life of Sookie... who the hell wants to read about laundry and housecleaning. I mean other stuff happened as well, but it was just not a good addition to the series.

Government enforced childbirth

That phrase needs to get into the pro-choice vernacular!

Books about the "worst of human viciousness" by Rankojinin booksuggestions

[–]trekbette 2 points3 points ago

The Walking Dead: Compendium One is a graphic novel. The zombies are not the monsters. The humans are so horrible to each other, I couldn't finish reading it.

Looking for a suggestion, Similar to Dresden Files by Chomrain booksuggestions

Two new authors:

RJ Johnson (fellow Redditor--WoefulKnight) His new book, Rosetta, is like Dresden on Mars.

Ash Stirling's Braeden Wolf series (a little rough, but a lot of potential) is like Dresden set 100 years in the future.
