Cadiz!!! I got engaged in Rota, and we stayed with my husband's family in Cadiz in 2004. :) What was your favorite place? Was it terribly expensive? Where did you sleep?

IAmA person who moved every year for most of my life, and is finally settling down in one place by pluspluskidin IAmA

I have lived in 21 places in my 31 years. I absolutely have issues settling down. I am always planning for the next place. We just bought our first house 1 1/2 years ago and I'm planning for the next step up (townhouse to single family home) and even though I'd like to settle there we've also talked for years of moving to Europe. I'd like to provide a stable place with roots for my family but I also like the idea of adventure. The downside is that I have trouble keeping friendships going. OP, do you have the same problem?

IAmA homeschooler who has homeschooled for all is life and is now going into public school - AMAA by pluspluskidin IAmA

Has it been a difficult transition? My kids are still preschool/toddler age and I have debated back and forth on homeschool. We aren't religious, but I don't like several things with school, especially my own experiences (which I am trying to not put on my own kids). I figure we will try public school first and if/when they don't like it we can transition to homeschool. Which do you think would be an easier transition? Did your parents do coops with other kids so you'd have more friends? It sounds like that was a big factor in your decision to go to public school.

I don't know what the issue could be, but when I was reading up on the GAPS diet it was mentioned to eat boiled eggs and NOT scrambled eggs during intro.

Non-processed cheese (e.g., cheddar, mozzarella) okay or does it have to be from goat milk? by [deleted]in Paleo

Greens are an excellent source of calcium. I have some with eggs every morning.

Do you have a Costco (or other buying club) membership? I find Maranatha almond butter there.

Coconuts? by OfficialPdubsin Paleo

Check out Wilderness Family Naturals and Tropical Traditions products for coconut. They offer minimally processed products (shredded, flakes, nibs, milk, cream, etc). I use coconut milk in smoothies for my kids and in my coffee. About once a week I make a baked product with coconut in it (like pancakes or muffins). All things in moderation, I say. :)

Paleo recipe books, which one? by ankylein Paleo

I like Everyday Paleo by Sarah Fragoso. She's got a family (like I do) and has a 30 day meal plan with grocery list plus workouts in the back. Most of the recipes look awesome. Paleo Comfort Foods just came out and I'm digging that, too. Make It Paleo will be coming out in a week and the previews I've read sound great.

There's another thread in /r/paleo for lunch ideas. Paleo Comfort Foods has a recipe for coconut tortillas that you could use, or you can use antibiotic/nitrite/nitrate-free lunchmeat and fill it with things like avocado or other veggies.

If you're down with an antibiotic free lunch meat (like Applegate farms) you can do wraps with veggies in them (like avocado, or shredded carrots and kalamata olives, hell I discovered that this roasted butternut squash mashed with coconut milk and cinnamon was delicious with some turkey lunch meat. ;) Make a batch of paleo deviled eggs (make your own mayo! modernpaleowarfare has a good recipe) which you can add a can of tuna to for an added protein boost.

I've heard it can take some time as you go through the "withdrawal" phase as your body adjusts. Now your body is starting to become more efficient. My diet was not so awesome over the last week and I'm going through the lethargy phase again.

I get that. I try to put myself in other people's shoes whenever I can to understand the best I can. Many lessons were learned!

You know, I thought about that. Hindsight is 20/20. The problem is/was that we are shiny brand new to all of this and she was supposedly the expert and guiding us. Several other things were brought to light as well that made it go tilt. It didn't help that there were accusations of us being on then off then on then off then on then off and "fucking with her head" as we kept communication open to how we were feeling with all of it. Which is what we were supposed to be doing. Communicating. It just really wasn't a good situation.

When I fly and the airplane begins its descent I get really sharp pain in my teeth and sinuses. by tawm04in AskReddit

[–]torena 1 point2 points ago

sorry, this has been archived and can no longer be voted on

It's also possible that the root of your teeth is very close to your sinuses, so when the pressure starts to change, you feel it there. When I get sick (like I am now) I experience tooth pain. The dentist had asked me during a checkup if I felt any pain and I explained it to her, she looked at my xrays and showed me right where the root was.

After 5 years I have quit World of Warcraft, what should I do now? by my_new_accountin self

[–]torena 0 points1 point ago

sorry, this has been archived and can no longer be voted on

I'm about to quit WoW myself. After 3 years. I've got 2 80s. We (my husband and I) both play, usually when our 2.5 year old is close to sleep or asleep. I am just at a loss of things to do with this time. I'm pregnant now so I'm just tired and nauseated all the time. I could probably pick up a book I suppose.

Your options look like good ones, but you might want to also have something like a book or smaller project in case you get overwhelmed with the larger projects.
