If the penalty for committing a crime against a cop is greater than normal, should the penalty for a cop who commits a crime should also be greater? by wizard_of_lolzin AskReddit

The penalty for "assault on an officer" is harsher than normal assault. If a cop is beating the daylights out of you and you lightly brush your hand against his shoulder they'll usually charge you with this. So not only is this a bad law to begin with it's often abused and thrown around arbitrarily.

On the other hand a cop who is committing crimes is much more dangerous to society. Cops are given authority and trust. When they are committing crimes there is the potential for a lot more damage to society than just your normal person committing crimes. So common sense would say yes, the penalty should be greater.

Thoughts on Alex Jones and who he affiliates with? by JRSTINin conspiracy

Alex Jones was selling gold over 10 years ago. If you would have bought gold ten years ago you would've made close to 900% profit. At least it's a lot better than CNN and Fox News trying to sell you Prozac and Aspartame.

You could also say there's something "fishy" about him selling water filters, natural soap, etc.. Yeah, he's trying to make money. At least he's selling beneficial things instead of GMO Doritos and taking money from Bill Gates like NPR. Is there anyone in this entire country who isn't trying to make money? Should he do his radio show out of a cardboard box to make you happy?
