Well, idk. Maybe this is the wrong subreddit then, or you should call the customer service line for the lens cleaner..

Contact Lens Peroxide Help by earwigy1990in medicine

[–]thetotoromonster 1 point2 points ago

Peroxide in your eyes or your contacts? If it's on your eyes, wait for your catalase (enzyme) to neutralize H2O2 into H2O + O2. Good idea to flush with water, too.

Also, I'm not an MD - I'm a premed EMT that knows about catalase from microbiology and biochemistry. If you're really concerned, go to the ER for real medical advice (see sidebar). Don't worry - you're not the first person who has accidentally used hydrogen peroxide lens cleaner on their eyes.

Well, it didn't say which belief system and what was its view toward death/life after death. "Religion was a very umbrella term - kind of unsatisfying to me, at least. :\

"Antibiotic resistance is likely the biggest public health challenge that we'll be facing this century" by EliphasLeviin Health

[–]thetotoromonster 0 points1 point ago

Wikipedia says Italy, Iran, and India (only countries that begin with I!) - just double-checked on Google Scholar. I almost didn't believe a developed country, like Italy, would have TDR TB, but you should check out Google Scholar for the newest info.

Totally-drug resistant (TDR) TB = one step more resistant than XDR TB. There are practically NO drugs that can treat TDR tuberculosis and it already exists in 3 countries.

Quality of dorms by antimatterLegoin BrownU

If you're picking a college based on dorms, then... I'm sorry that you expect to spend that much time in your dorm.

That said, I loved living in the dorms as a freshman, I love attending Brown, and the dorms are NOT claustrophobia-inducing.

P.S. Wow! They sent out acceptances 22 days ago/beginning of March?

The Kony video: a Ugandan Journalist's perspective by bokmalin TrueReddit

[–]thetotoromonster 5 points6 points ago

Nevertheless, I recall the video encouraged people from developed nations (or maybe I just watched the "American" version) to spread awareness in order to appeal to their government representatives to continue posting US military as advisors for African military. I understand that there are flaws in IC's argument, but it is also important to empower Africans and encourage diplomatic relations between African nations also. I'm not convinced the US should intervene and I have a problem with how the IC video didn't explain why US military advisors had more military expertise than African ones --> one iteration of the main idea I took from an international aid class in my university's anthropology dept.

Thanks for your thoughtful response! I'm definitely not doing an MD/PhD and I appreciate your perspective on the LOR: I probably won't ask the "Grad Program Advisor" because she is a bit cold-shouldered.

I told my direct supervisor that it doesn't make sense to do the analysis with the data, but I'll try taking this issue to the PI. I'm sure they don't have the "predisease" samples because they would've given it to me if I asked for it. They're more interested in biochemistry (protein misfolding, etc.) so the serum they currently have fits their purposes but not mine.

The Master's will take 0 extra time or 1 extra semester, but I'm satisfied with that. My grades weren't too hot during my first 2 years but I'm really rocking and rolling since my 3rd semester onwards. I'm planning to take a year off to make myself more competitive.

I could get a Master's without a thesis, but it would be MA instead of MS. I'm still wondering if the difference between the two degrees is worth it! Any more thoughts?

If I have a short meeting at school/university on the weekends and I don't want to shower/wash hair beforehand, I wear athletic gear and pretend I ran there to work out.
