Fresh install on the new hard drive would be the best but if you want to copy it shrink the partition to less than 320 GB, burn yourself a copy of knoppix, and boot into it and use the "dd" command to copy it. Damn BSODs. Can you post the contents of the BSOD (take a picture) the next time it happens so we can make sure it is your hard drive.
