Or it's plugged into a PC (seems to light up inconsistently for me), although it's probably the first thing.

I found that hilarious. Horrible delay but green latency? That's still over 200, OH WOW!

Interesting. I imagine that this will be patched once they notice, but could be useful.

How can I efficiently price items for AH? by HelloDanniin Diablo

[–]thebassethound 0 points1 point ago

Upset? Just a discussion here mate, no need to be an arsehole. I'm fine with mid-click/shift+left-click. How is reassigning those two functions to m1 and m2 so drastically different? It's merely a matter of preference so I don't think making them rigid makes sense. The point is that the skill element you talk about would be there anyway. This is a PC game - the key bindings are essentially arbitrary because anyone can rebind anything anyway with a little more effort.

This is what I mean. I don't want to have to hold a modifier and be restricted on which keys I use in order to stutter step safely. Left click to move and interact, right click for spell 1, 5 keyboard spells.

Actually, I just want left click to move, right click for spell 1, then the other 5 on keyboard. Accidentally casting is deadly, which is a micro issue so I do use middle click to move, but I would prefer to have the option to change it.

This "no mods" thing will probably be awful for the game in the long run. I really don't see why mods are fine for wow but not this game (RMAH arguments aside)? I think WoW would have been terrible without mods, especially once used to them. Auctioneer was essential, as were a few others.

I also don't really understand not being able to rebind m1 and m2. I kind of get that it wants to stay true to the series, but such a small change won't negatively effect that and would allow people to play how they choose (I mean, this is a PC game... people can rebind their hardware buttons anyway so this rule is arbitrary.).

IAmA 60 Barbarian, Act 2 Inferno. AMA. by PsyStarcraftin Diablo

Sounds decent for solo since it's nice and varied - you will probably want to switch to a single damage spell that's sustainable for higher level group stuff. I find Unbreakable Grasp to be invaluable, especially solo, for the kiting.

How are you finding the firebombs? I found that raining toads and explosive toads are more damaging and you can make them mana neutral with various abilities. Raining toads also have insane range and go over walls and shit, so no loss in utility there. Gargantuan is cool but in grounds I tend not to use summons except for high damage summons like the Wrathful Protector or the Army.

I've been playing Medic on TF recently, picked up WD in D3 and all I can think is "doctor is kredit to team!"

Funny that. I think there's a lot of room for variation, although I'm only level 51. I've found a variety of damage spells are good in different situations and the utility spells are insane. Raining toads, exploding toads, spirit barrage for single target, dire bats (going off these since the end of Normal), summons, all seem very damaging and useful depending on setup. I've found both confuse and fear to be useful, but that said, haven't tried them in Inferno. I'm guessing that you get less out of them in larger groups since with less players every cc counts.

Spirit walk and harvest are both sick, but I'm not sure that Harvest will be mandatory (I do think walk will be). You risk so much running close to enemies which I can only assume will be exacerbated in inferno. I think some combination of Pierce the Veil and some mana restoration skills will be safer and extremely damaging (although I am running both Veil and Harvest at the moment and the dps is wicked sick! Having 2 melee stunning means I can get in and harvest, using siphon for the life back as well.)

How Diablo III's Solo Experience Reveals A Hollow Game by limbclockin Games

How about playing for fun, playing for the challenge? Also, what's so hollow about it? I like the aesthetics and the skill system is so deep its keeping me up at night (not the loot, honest). I just reached hell and I have a huge boner for the game, my character, the possibilities of customisation, etc.

I enjoyed act 1. I think is does a good job of easing you in, the story is cool, and of course the aesthetic is too. I loved the slow reveal of all your classes abilities, throughout normal mode in fact.

I hadn't given it much thought before the release because I was so excited about the game that I didn't want to find anything out until I played... Holy cap though, the skill system is so refreshing and awesome. I'm losing sleep thinking about the possible permutations.

I'm thinking it would be much more complex, but it's a cool idea for an app if any decent programmers see this. ;p

I'm guessing that the majority is a wallpaper and the text buttons on the right are minimalistic text widgets with a custom font, or they might be custom icons made in PS as png files. Either would work, but I think getting the font and using minimalistic text would be easier.

Looks sick! An idea that probably isn't pheasable: it'd be cool if the cursor moved as feedback when you select a button then remained at the last selected. Not sure how one might go about this, but it would be slick.

The election dealt the lib dems the best hand they ever have had or ever will have. The alternative scenario you described sounds fine to me if it means that the lib dems would have not compromised on such a huge policy issues (although it's not clear that the Conservatives would have won outright as you say). Their electorate cared too deeply about the issue and the only thing they would have found satisfactory in the situation the Tories put them in would have been the coalition disbanding. I personally would have been fine if Clegg publicly disagreed with the Tory line and I think that what should have happened is an open debate, the same as what occurred over the Alternative Vote issue; their tuition fees policy was far too integral to the party for compromise.

The figures on the vote still show a majority voting against their own policy and what they were mandated to fight for. Additionally, the UK is just not used to, or ready for, coalition politics. It was obvious to everyone that doing what they did what they did would be the death of the libs dems; the public only see it as them grabbing onto power as soon as they saw any possible opening and selling out their electorate in the process, which I have to agree with. If there was ever to be a coalition, it had to have been between labour and the lib dems, since they were far more similar policy wise. Culturally, the majority of lib dem supporters hate Toryism, so an alliance made no sense to them at all.

Please excuse the rant and any bad spelling; I'm typing on my phone.

In some sense, but it was inevitable that they would have to compromise somewhere in order to maintain a coalition with the Tories who are political opposites. In the end they (publicly) supported the raise in fees, which was a complete U-turn and a betrayal of their electorate. I don't think coalitions are necessarily a bad idea, but coalitions between parties that have such conflicting policies is certainly a bad idea. The lib dems would have been far better off sitting on their highest seat count yet and trying to build on that, instead of committing suicide.

[–]thebassethound 2 points3 points ago

Indeed. The coalition is in itself a major fuck-up on their part, then they went ahead and didn't curb the Tories' policies whatsoever, which might have been their saving grace (some will argue with this point, but tuition was such a huge issue especially for a lot of voters, such as myself, who voted for them heavily on the basis of that particular policy).
