The bartenders are rad and let me and my roommates (all from LA) watch Dodger games there.... as long as we do it in the back :)

edit: mentioned above, but yes, their free food is usually awesome. On Sundays they'll bust out the BBQ.

I make roughly $50k-60k, pay $1,100 for my master bedroom in a newly renovated apartment on the boarder on Potrero Hill and the Mission and get by just fine. On top of that, myself and my roommates have a bad habit of eating out for nearly every meal, and if we cook it's usually a feast that costs more than going out. Got plenty of cash left over to never have to worry about going out with friends or on dates.

My first job out of college was at a start-up 7th street, so exactly one block away. Our daily lunches consisted of New Castle from Vons, walk across the street and pick up some BC Deli.

What people who aren't from LA don't realize is that part of the reason many of us haven't cared for the Clippers is because Donald Sterling has been a racist slumlord in the city for years. He's seriously an awful person and it's hard to get behind a team so obviously crippled by him.

It's nice to see them finally get a bit of recognition though. Half of LA didn't even didn't even know they existed til Blake Griffin.
