Thanks for getting this stuck in my head.

This happens to me sometimes as well over on r/Japansports, but after a few hours all the new posts will show up on the front page. It's not just you, and it appears to be a random problem (first world at that, lol)

If you're up late night Fridays in the states, try firstrowsports.eu, or livetv.ru/en/

I'm not sure how much of this article is true, and how much is sensationalist embellishment, but... all the "Japan racist police state blah blah" people should probably read this. by the2beloin japan

Every year around June, there's a month long campaign at the station where I work to "Internationalize properly" or something like that. I don't recall the exact words that are used, but there's huge banners hanging down stating awareness, proper papers, blah blah. Nobody ever looks at me differently, I never get stopped, I just carry on as normal. The thought does cross my mind that they can stop me anytime to check my visa, but they never do.

How would I go about writing to a professional Japanese baseball player? by averagejoshin japansports

Each club should have people that speak English, but whether or not you'll get a speedy response is a different matter. That said, there are a couple of different options you can try, but just keep in mind that you might be one of a thousand people doing the same thing, so there's always the possibility that you won't get any response at all. I remember not getting responses from actors and athletes when I was a kid.

The Dragons official site does not have an English version, but they do have an FAQ section,

Q17. How do I go about sending a player a fan letter?

The postal address for sending fan mail is:

"Player Name" co/o Chunichi Dragons
Chunichi Bldg. 6F
Sakae 4-1-1, Naka-ku
Nagoya-shi, Aichi-Ken
460-0008

If you want to try an email to see what they say, the fan club email address is club@dragons.co.jp

That's about as much as I can help you, as I've never tried to contact a Japanese player.

Wow! The creator apparently allows people to view these things in person if you live in Japan. Unfortunately, according to the Japanese language page he lives in Nagoya, which is a little too far from Tokyo for me to go and see this on a whim. However, if I'm ever in the Nagoya area again, I will definitely be shooting him an email.
