Diablo3 Markets » Botting in Diablo 3 is not a realistic threat by ZomgPwniesin diablo3

[–]tdickles 1 point2 points ago

the person that wrote this article obviously has no idea how botting works, and what has already been discovered and created during the beta. nobody uses "pixel recognition techniques", and if they do, you certainly don't have to worry about them.

there will be rampant botting, especially because botters can now sell on the real money auction house. regardless, the game is going to kick some major ass

Where is the hypothetical sweet spot for stargazing? by IndigoFerrariin askscience

[–]tdickles 2 points3 points ago

You can absolutely see stars in space. Our atmosphere only gets in our way of seeing stars and other objects in space more clearly. Higher elevation helps for viewing stars, but mostly you want to get away from light and air pollution. There are places in the mid-west united states that are amazing because they're nowhere near cities. Your bonus question is incorrect, as you can most definitely see objects not in our solar system from space. Where exactly were you reading all of this?

i'll agree that arenas do take a lot of focus and multitasking. end game content only requires attendance and common sense

amazing. someone named "adderall saved me" is arguing that playing wow requires focus. i've played many mmo's at "any level of difficulty", and i can tell you that the hardest part is not focusing. the hardest part is finding people to raid with that are reliable and listen to directions. it has nothing to do with focus, especially when you have addons that tell you exactly what to do and when to do it.

any hobby can help you focus. building model airplanes would teach them more focus than playing an mmo.

really? in my experience, wow and other modern mmorpgs cause a decline in focus due to all of the instant reward and gratification. there's absolutely nothing in wow that requires you to focus

yea, sometimes everyone sucks. if the vote was for "person that sucked the least", then i could see why you'd be mad that not everyone votes.
