Some of the best games are 0-0. This comment is just as ignorant as Rooney's.

[–]static_silence 2 points3 points ago

Please, lets not do this. I hate Rooney as much as the next Arsenal fan but the premier league is about far more than who wins. Theres the fight to go into the two european competitions, and the relegation battle. By the end of the year the relegation battle is far more interesting than the fight for first place. And this year it looks like 2 teams right now may win it but realistically no one team is much stronger than any other; what with Man City starting to weaken, ManU and Chelsea in a state of flux, Arsenal (again) in a state of repair and Spurs...well they just suck and will be relegated....Newcastle and Liverpool (like arsenal) are in the fight for 4th too. There is competition all over the league, and the Premier League is about more than just 1st place.

How would r/nfl feel about your favorite team moving? by SickaNDiRRin nfl

[–]static_silence 0 points1 point ago

Seeing as I dont live in America, I wouldnt be too upset (depending on how they left and the cirumstances around it all) but I still would be pretty upset if they left to go to another divisional rival city.

In which I compile all of /r/nfl's predictions for the Super Bowl by Plutorin nfl

[–]static_silence 1 point2 points ago

Strangely enough I had a bad dream last night. I cannot remember what it was about but at some point I looked at a TV and it was the superbowl, the first half had just ended and the giants were down. Pats 45 - Giants 3.

I remember spending the rest of the dream upset over such a humilating loss. Dunno the final score but I know it didnt get better. I hope this wont be a deja vu moment on Monday morning.

Why will some people so aggressively defend Suarez's on the field behaviour? I cannot understand it at all.

Completely agree, not the sole reason anymore. Dont know what he was like before he came to the EPL but he is a massive tool here.

What are your plans for Superbowl Sunday? by Chevellephreakin nfl

[–]static_silence 3 points4 points ago*

I will be in a bar in Covent Garden (London) losing bets with friends and spending an obscene amount of money on jaegerbombs (as is custimary) with the same people i saw the last 4 superbowls with . Ill miss Brighton this year though. Then 6 hours after that, I will go to work and hope i am sober.

EDIT: Tbh i doubt I will drink as i probably wont want to take my eyes off the game. However if things are going really badly then i dont think ill be sober enough to make it into work later that day

Hell Yeah! Mine was so popular it took down the hosts website, I had to delete it and re-post the hosted version. This was many moons ago and although I peaked my reddit submission life early I look back on those times with fond memories.

Poor Walcott I didnt realise quite how badly he hit the floor til the replay, he just went limp in the air, always so unexpected to see anything like that in football...soccer football.
