I'm not sure if you know this, but when the author speaks about the "law," he is not talking about the laws of the land. He's talking about the laws of the Bible. Following Jesus is about seeing how Jesus fulfilled those Biblical laws.

Because I wanted to give an introduction for reformed-minded thinkers, so that I could get some feedback from their perspectives.

And I think you probably have a good point about it being called "open futurism" instead. But "open theism" is the more known term. And it doesn't necessarily negate it's theological propositions either.

Exactly. Bell would simply not stand clear on anything. He was finally corned at the end, though, by his own questioning. He was asking if the other guy believed that God would ever stop offering repentance to someone after a certain amount of time. In other words, do you believe God would infinitely punish a 17 year old without ever providing a way to out?

That right there solidifies his idea.
