I am in NJ and can help you. You need to go immediately to the bank and lock up the funds, as a "owner" of the business you have rights to do this. Then get an audit done by a CPA and have the CPA draft cashiers checks once the audit is done to all the parties involved. Make sure you get a exit agreement. I would be a dick and even make them sign non competes since they screwed you. An audit can be done by any good CPA...it will cost a few hundred dollars. If you need a lawyer or other advice, please email me. I'll be traveling this week for work but I can arrange for you to speak to others if need be. 10K is not much money, its a matter of principle. If you don't have receipts or evidence of contributions, then the contributions did not happen. I had something similar happen to me years ago...except my situation was in the half a million range.
