As an American rugby player, I am ashamed that there are so many people trying to argue that American football players can, in any way, compare to the strength, speed, and skill of a rugby union player.

EDIT - The average American football game has 11 minutes of actual play time. Whereas a rugby game lasts 80 minutes, not even stopping for most injuries.
