TROPHY CASE

Just picked up Dark Souls, have a few questions. by Jusheein PS3

I think it's fine taking the mater key. exploration is an important aspect, but sometimes the game is a little too punishing, and some of the gifts are truly worthless, so I dont find that unreasonable.

the tag is automatically added because "nsfw" was in the title. IT'S NOT MY FAULT

[–]skepticaljesus 0 points1 point ago

yeah but it's still a decent drive. ::shrug:: i can't really imagine myself go to someone else's neighborhood theater when i've already got one of my own in walking distance. Don't get me wrong, I really like having local independent theaters around, but their charm and appeal is their neighborhood-y-ness. When it's not right around the corner, it kind of defeats the purpose.

the logan is pretty much the reason i imagine ill never go to the patio. i'd much rather pay the extra $2/tix to be able to walk there from home rather than dealing with parking at 6000 w Irving...................

And I suggest you stick with vague, non-specific sentences if you want people to continue to give you the benefit of intellectual credibility, because as soon as you start offering actual opinions it really dispels the illusion.

Also, obligatory: http://xkcd.com/386/

ugh, your stupidity is starting to make this not fun. that's not what I'm saying at all. I would hope the emperor of the universe would have either better simple reading skills, or better simple concept comprehension skills, whichever one you're lacking.

wealth is arguably the greatest cause of suffering among humans. However, absence of food, shelter, clothing, and clean drinking water certainly are a major cause of suffering for a huge percentage of the planet. Solving these problems on a global scale would take relatively little effort as long as we could mobilize wealth from the top few percentage of people. Doing so would not at all disrupt the current balance of power or wealth, it would simply make the wealthiest slightly less wealthy. This ability to redistribute resources at will is a power I imagine Emperor of the Universe would have. Refusal to do so is evil.

Well sure, I don't disagree with that. And I'm also not saying it's your mandate to eliminate the existence of human suffering entirely.

I'm saying that, as Emperor of the Universe, it would be trivilaly easy to eliminate a great deal of the human suffering that currently exists, simply through extremely minor redistribution of wealth. Without remotely changing the current power balance of individuals, governments or institutions, you could drastically improve the lives of the poorest third of the planet by providing them with fundamental human necessities. Refusal to do so is indefensibly evil.

nah, it's the one with bizarro jerry george and kramer (gene, feldman and kevin.) Elaine is saying why she prefers the bizarros' company, because they read, hence Jerry saying he reads too. But whatever he reads (comics, shampoo bottles, cue cards), they ain't books.

How very Hegelian of you. That said, possessing the power to ease human suffering at no cost to oneself, but refusing to do so is indefensibly objectively evil. And if you truly are our universal emperor, that certainly is the case.

Hm. That all sounds like a lot of work, but I'll probably end up keeping "The Martha Stewart Cookbook" an extra couple days, then paying the $.20 late fee. Every little bit helps.

Brooks: You always sound so calm and in control. What do you do to get the rage out? I find throwing scalding hot cups of coffee at production assistants really helps me relax when I've got a particularly bad case of the Mondays.

What does your handwriting look like? by lowpassin AskReddit

[–]skepticaljesus 0 points1 point ago

It's weird, because my ascenders and descenders are what give my script it's character, but they're also what make it hard to read because they tend to overlap the lines above/beneath.

[–]skepticaljesus 2 points3 points ago

Sloppy, yes, but possessing a fair amount of character, too, I think,

Also interesting is that my handwriting is extremely similar to my brother's, who is quite a bit older and who I had little to no exposure to growing up. We only found out as adults how similar they are.

If you were put in charge of trimming Earth's human population down to 3 billion or so, what would your criteria be for who stays and who goes? by Clayburnin AskReddit

English major here. I'm doing quite well for myself. The trick is to go into advertising, and sell your writing ability to The Man. If you're ok with that, and reasonably talented, you'll never be out of work a day in your life, and make above average money to boot.
