Galgos...anyone have experience? by sisko2k5in Greyhounds

I bet that is pretty nutty. One extreme to the other :) I didn't realize they were raced like the others. I wish I could save them all!

I never thought about greytalk! I will head over there this afternoon. I had never heard of STOLA, didn't even know the saluki was in a bad situation. Whats the deal with where they are? I only briefly looked at the page. Beautiful dogs.

That helps a lot! Thats is exactly the type of information I was looking for. Makes sense given their backgrounds. I was curious as to how well they adapt after being adopted and their personalities. Thanks!!! Love the picture of Canela!

We do pack out own bags, but most places I have been only offer plastic. So I would think that if the guy wanted paper plastic he would have to ask for it. Just a guess.

I dunno...the first instance when it is slowed down looks like he is kicking off with his feet. Notice the push and jerk in his knees. The second looks a little more interesting but the drain pipe or hole in the wall makes me a little suspicious.

I still have such mixed feelings. I know that many (maybe even the majority) are treated well and actually have some fun at the tracks and running. I never knew that until after we had adopted our third and we went and visited a track. But you also hear such horror stories about what happens AFTER they are useful to the breeder or track (depending on who owns the dog). These images are great and beautiful.

One of mine does, one really doesn't care and is just oblivious to the entire thing, and our third hates the noise, but doesn't care enough to leave

I have that same sink (from Lowes too!) and I love the way it looks hate the entire thing. To clarify. We installed it as our main sink in our main bathroom that we use when getting ready for work each morning. The sink just is not conducive for this daily type of use. No way to stop it up, no place for your personal items to be placed (toothrbush, etc). Just a bit ill suited for daily use. That said it would be a great sink for a half bath or guest bathroom in which is was just used for washing your hands.

Nooooooooooooo! Well thats a bummer. Serves me right for not doing further research into the truthiness of it all. Thanks Mandinder for bringing me back to reality.

Water does have memory though. That one is true science. Probably not in the context in which they are talking about though. Edit to provide link for water having memory claim. Further edit - uh yeah...after reading their "information" they say water has memory of events in your life. Not the same thing.
