So metros are becoming too crowded, with un-affordable (housing) and high living costs. What's a good smaller city to plan to be in, after around 5-8 years? by LordSnugglywiggumsin india

[–]shadyabhi 0 points1 point ago

Yeah, 2 months back I saw it on news that Kochi also has potential in real estate. A decent 3BHK costs around 50 lakhs. A luxury flat on Marine Drive costs around 1.2 crores. So, it's not that expensive.

It's not the case with me. I wanted to order something from http://www.revzilla.com/international-orders and they clearly mention in third paragraph that they don't bear any customs cost.

I don't want to hijack the thread or anything but I have a query.

Let's suppose I order something from US and the matter of customs is not handled by the supplier, what happens then? How am I notified that my parcel is seized, etc? What is the procedure to pay the customs then?

They wanted to charge me $0.1 (1c) last month.

Did they charge you, not that 1c matters though?

Also, how do I keep a check on the bandwidth used while on Free Tier?

Same with me. They refunded the money every time. But, it annoyed the shit out of me.

It's not like that I was bothered by $1. I have paid for developer accounts earlier and it doesn't matter to me.

You know all parents. He just said, you can't even read the terms carefully.

EDIT: Yeah, I will probably do that from next month after I start earning.

There are better ways for verification like in Paypal they send money to the account instead of deducting. :(

The message said,

This authorization is not a charge, but your bank may hold the authorized funds as unavailable until the authorization expires

I couldn't understand it fully but will I be refunded or not?

Fuck. I scp'd some data (around 150MB) from my computer to the server & I told my dad that CC won't be charged. It already has deducted $1 (registration amount) till now.

EDIT: I asked for Free Tier so I guess I don't have to use the calculator for that. It's just the clause for bandwidth is not clear.

Can you tell me about the Bandwidth usage while on Free Tier? The page http://aws.amazon.com/free/ seemed vague about it.

I started the instance in US - West & am operating it from Asia if that matters.

  • 15 GB of bandwidth out aggregated across all AWS services
  • 1 GB of Regional Data Transfer

Can you elaborate the two points? I started the instance with US-West as region. What is the in/out bandwidth limit if I am operating from India?

A 4th year student at my college didn't know how many holes were down there. He thought that "penetration is done in the place from where girls pee"

Fuck reliance. At the time I had Reliance SIM, they always used to charge me for the services I never subscribed. I ended up destroying the SIM and moving on.

I have no idea of estimating I/O ops for EBS. How much I/O ops will happen in a month if I use a IRC bouncer, stay online on gtalk & use Spotify for 1 hour everyday. Any very rough estimate?
