TROPHY CASE

As a married man with two kids and cannot afford a new pc for the foreseeable future, this will be my version of Diablo 3, and I'm okay with that by dispatcher_83in gaming

That's the entire point of the roguelike genre, and Diablo, Torchlight, and other similar games are a growth of that genre.

The plot can be cool (I happen to like Diablo's story) but need not actually be present at all.

I'm a guy. I get erections all the time anyway. Sometimes it might coincide with hearing the quadratic formula, but that doesn't imply causation.

X equals negative b, plus or minus the square root, of b squared minus 4ac, all over 2a.

Sing it to the tune of "Pop Goes the Weasel", with the commas marking the end of each line. Do this once, never forget it again.

Most people take a shower and put on deodorant every day. Problem solved.

I think I might be a sociopath, since I see nothing wrong with any of that (except having videos of his mom changing, what the fuck).

To be fair, I don't think it was the marriage that did it. You just hear this from married people because married people tend to have been with their significant other for a long time; I think you would find that sexless relationships are probably the result of one or both partners getting bored, not a result of getting married.

It really depends on the gamer I guess. Diablo III loot isn't interesting enough to hold my attention (I haven't played a single character past 4 or 5 hours yet). In Torchlight I have fun collecting/finding loot.

As a married man with one kid, I doubt a married man with two kids will get a lot of benefit from multiplayer modes anyway.

Unless the kids are a bit older (mine is 15 months) in which case LAN mode might come in handy...then again, with only one PC that can barely run TL2, he probably doesn't have an extra that can also run it.

Married man here. No sex in 2 years. This is not at all an uncommon situation.

Diablo III pauses just fine, unless you're playing multiplayer of course.

Has Lucasarts put out anything decent in the past 3 or 4 years? (not entirely a hypothetical question; I'm unaware of anything worth mentioning, but there could be something I missed)

Even worse, Free Radical was essentially the portion of Rare that made Goldeneye and Perfect Dark.

I do wonder whatever happened to the DKC/DKR/Banjo-Kazooie guys.

edit: Actually according to Wikipedia some of the main people involved in Banjo-Kazooie are still at Rare. What the fuck happened then?

If I couldn't give a fuck then it's actually not sad. At least, not to me.

I almost feel bad for them if it's not Battlefront 3. People will actively resent whatever it is.

Do carbonated beverages such as soda help keep you hydrated? If so, how do they compare against water? by formad12in askscience

Isn't plain water bad at hydration with no electrolytes dissolved in it? I assumed that was the reason for the sports drink suggestion.

Probably most green things have more vitamin C than oranges. Oranges just happen to come in a convenient wrapper, so they're a good way to make vitamin C portable.

[–]shadow1515 1 point2 points ago

I'd read about the C. difficile link before, but I haven't yet found a paper proposing a reason for why PPIs would double the risk of contracting it. Is it simply because this species tends to thrive in a less acidic environment?
