Definitely the opposite for me.

Metro 2033 is 75% off today on Steam. What is /r/games opinion on it? by Beanbakerin Games

[–]rust2bridges 4 points5 points ago

I got frustrated with a stealth portion of the game because everytime I got caught everyone would run right to me and my guns didn't do anything. I'll have to revisit it the game again and stop hoarding my prewar bullets.

Diablo III sells 6.3 million Life-To-Date, 3.5 million In First 24 hours by mehgandavidin Games

I still rest my hands on WASD (never was an MMO guy my hands refuse to rest anywhere else) so I never keep any fingers on any keys. I did rebind 3 to my side mouse, as that was the only key I had trouble with. You could rebind shift to something easier to reach for you like spacebar or something, that may help.

The giant is so awesome. Having him hulk out at a boss or a mob of enemies and tank the shit out of bad guys is so satisfying.

Legitimate question, he's not being snarky here or anything.

If you hold shift and then click, your character won't move but will attack. This may or may not solve your issues.

Diablo 3 looks pretty awesome, but as someone who has never played Diablo, or Diablo 2. Should I get this game? by Slaynerin Games

[–]rust2bridges 1 point2 points ago

From your description it sounds like you'll enjoy it. It's most fun played with friends, and while normal mode has been a breeze so far, the upper difficulties are really challenging.

The lack of distributing your own stats when you level is a godsend for me. When I played D2 I had to reroll twice before understanding how I should level my characters, and when I understood I just went straight to a guide anyways. D3 allows for you to change abilities if you don't like them, and screwing up your stats is no longer an issue.

I was hesitant at first but now am glad I bought it. Key though, play with friends!

Never played a Final Fantasy game before, which would be a good one to start with? by KEVYCOLLIIin Games

It's still worth a playthrough in my eyes, just don't let the hype build your expectations. It has an interesting story and some cool characters.

That being said, the graphics really have aged a lot but my nostalgia glasses are okay with it. I could see how off putting they could be though.

I bought Resident Evil: Revelations on 3DS because the game has a decent length story mode, standard newgame+, huge arcadey multiplayer mode, and no bullshit DLC. I support good games by buying them and playing them.

I'm very excited for Resident Evil 6, but if it contains any of the usual Capcom bullshit then I'll have to pass.

There are a ton of reasons not to drink soda, I just focus on the easy to grasp ones. Sugar substitutes are not good for you either, if I end up finding the research papers I had in class online I'll be sure to post them.

That's because they need the glucose spike and coke is a surprisingly good way to do it. Same with Type I diabetics.

I can't imagine running that long and drinking carbonated coke though. That'd be such a terrible feeling.

You ever try carbonated water and juice? Doesn't have the cola bite but has the carbonation+sweet bite. I was raised on that instead of soda until I hit a reasonable age. Now I just drink the carbonated water if I ever get the soda cravingm, Klarbrunn or Mendota Springs are fantastic.

When I do drink soda I only drink either Barqs or Coke for that bite you're talking about, it's hard to explain but it's so satisfying. Still, not worth all that sugar.

Find a different caffeine source! Pretend that by drinking all the sugar in soda, you're effectively erasing a portion of your exercise/healthy diet. Would you sacrifice your 40 min run for a can of Coke? Using this semi-logic keeps me from eating a lot of things that I can easily live without.

You can do it! If it's the caffeine you crave, switch to a less sugary alternative like tea. If it's the taste, well there's plenty of better tasting things out there than high frucose corn syrup.

It's the sugar, especially if you drink multiple cans a day you're on a long path to metabolic syndrome and type II diabetes. This image is a good representation of what you're putting into your body. If you don't know how insulin and your pancreas works, go wiki the pathophysiology of diabetes mellitis and get a sense of what you could be doing to yourself.

Also, it's expensive to drink frequently and if you're struggling with weight issues, cutting soda out of your life alone will cut at least five lbs (which anecdotal evidence, but I know enough people who quit soda to see a solid correlation.)

I tried drinking a Dr. Pepper the other day and it was just so flavorless to me. I do indulge on Classic Coke or Barqs every now and again but I don't have more than two sodas a month.

Diet soda is also not good. Here's one of many, many papers about it.

*edit: There are some really interesting reads out there about it, I'd recommend taking half an hour and scouring the web for good papers about it. Google Scholar is a good way to find free articles.
