A girl like this decided to share pictures of her awesome body, and you feel the need to bitch about her post title? This kind of shit drives girls away from here, to me that's like canceling a free subscription to Brazzers because the scenarios are too...uninspired, I guess.

Tl;dr how big of a douche do you have to be to bitch at someone who gave you a free picture of her hot body?

Why I'm willing to let Valve have as much time as they want to make Half Life 3 by DoubleTapThatin gaming

I can imagine it was at least disappointing to have to wait, although I can't personally say that because I didn't buy it. Still kind of debating whether or not to buy it.

Couldn't you just, like, ignore the new ending if it isn't better? "I don't want a shittier ending" seems like a pretty pedantic argument, maybe that's just me though.

The DLC for Mass Effect reminds me of things like Director's Cuts on DVDs/Blu-rays. Not required to follow the story, but it does provide a little bit more than what you have without the DLC.

That's exactly the sound I expected the cat to make.

This would be the day that people bitch about Steam servers being bullshit and Valve should planned properly ahead of time to support the millions of people buying and downloading it...

Articulated was actually the word I used :) I was trying to think of eloquent. I like reading the way you write. Very clear and easy to follow your thoughts.

Haha, that's a fucked up dream. Anyway I had a few free minutes to read over, and wanted to say thank you again, that actually gave me some insight into folks with this type of personality.

Is this a mentality you keep strictly at work, or is it in general? It seems like you're pretty open to talking about yourself (your personality, not necessarily what you did on the weekend). You're also very...articulated, I guess, I can't think of the word I'm actually trying to use here. I've met quite a few people who work in IT that aren't exactly sociable, but are very good at putting things down in writing.

Makes me think about how when you lose a sense, your other senses are enhanced. Instead of talking to people in person, have you just kind of learned to express yourself better in writing as opposed to speaking? Or do you enjoy writing?

So other than the obvious... What would you use this for? by Dreamaminein cookwithbeer

I'd actually just love to know how this tastes. Sounds awful, but sometimes food that sounds nasty can turn out to be amazing.

Tilapia with Tomato and Red Wine Quinoa and homemade Guacamole- Sounds and tastes fancy, but is easy and only $3.25 per person by Tonickalin bachelorchef

[–]roostercogburn 0 points1 point ago

Not one of these ingredients are anything I like to eat, but man it looks good.

Out of curiosity because I like the flavor but not the texture of quinoa, and I'm not sure if you've cooked this or anything using quinoa, but is there anyway to make it not so...mushy? I had it at a French restaurant and the texture was really the only reason I couldn't eat it.

I never said anything about the cost, just that it'd be disappointing. I mean, seriously, who doesn't love winning free shit?

If it was some sort of instant-win type of game, I can't help but think how disappointing would it be to find out that this roll was a winner...

What's something you've seen someone do and just think 'OH FUCK NO DON'T DO THAT' but stay silent? by Atticus86in AskReddit

I've recently found out that it's kind of a regional thing. People in the US generally call it a cash register (or just register) when referring to the whole point of sale system. The till would be the tray that goes in the cash drawer.

Over in Europe, at least the people I work with (UK, Ireland, France, Italy), refer to the entire point of sale system as a "till". It gets confusing sometimes when you're trying to support these things.

Hey Reddit, quick question. I have a job interview tomorrow. Should I shave my beard? by BadgerOnTheProwlin AskReddit

[–]roostercogburn 0 points1 point ago

Yeah, I can't see anyone not getting a job just because you have a short beard as long as it's well trimmed. I wouldn't want to work somewhere that your facial hair takes precedence over your ability to do the job anyway.

It's not terrible advice, but he should trim it at least and sculpt a line for it. With it getting thinner as it goes down his neck, it doesn't look good, but speaking from experience I've never not been hired after an interview and all times I had a trimmed (red) beard.

I've always had a beard, and I've only actually interviewed for 4 jobs, and I was hired for each one. I don't think it's necessarily bad, but you need to AT LEAST trim it up. Right now it just looks like you took an electric razor to it and left it at that.

I don't do any of those things (personal email, calls etc) while I'm at work either, it's not really appropriate, but I have no problem talking to someone for a minute about....well, whatever. My profession generally produces socially awkward people (IT), but I've never really been anti-social and enjoy talking to people.

I guess I'm just not understanding all of your secrecy here. It comes across like you haven't really had (m)any friends and just don't know what's expected of that type of relationship, so you just keep shit all to yourself because you expect people to conform to the way you expect people to engage you.

I guess you could say I'm just curious what made you this way because I've known people like this before and never understood it.

I was thinking the exact same thing, sometimes shit makes total sense in your head until you actually say it to someone else.

Kind of like rivalarrival said, I guess it could be something like testing a vaccine for a biological weapon that they expect the US to be attacked with. Probably would be pretty hard to get volunteers without freaking everyone the fuck out.

Now that I think about it, this is probably where all the chemtrail conspiracy theorists get their bullshit ideas.
