Why do people Idol worship? Why does it have such a strong presence in our culture today?

i don't think they idol worshipped any more then we do today...first there's the two different meaning of idolize...spiritual or secular.

many churches have stained glass windows of saints, angels, statuary of mary, jesus, moses...people will rub buddha's belly, bow to the buddha's statue...pray to saints, toast...are these people worshipping idols?

it astounds me that people really think that ancient people thought every idol was god...

think about it...there were links to new stuff (yawn) but there was also links to old pre-internet movies, documentaries...even pre vhs sitcoms, news stories...the biggest public library in the world.
