Yes I think VCA is performing arts/fine arts. Are you trying to do a Bachelor of Arts? As in say like, major in history or psychology or something? I am currently doing a History major now and I can tell you, Arts is pretty redundant. I don't want to be too harsh or anything and dont get me wrong, Arts is useful, but from my experience, everyone in Arts seems to want to switch out into Commerce or something else. I'm currently trying to switch into Environments, just because it does interest me more plus, the course structure is far better and more organized.

It is a pretty known fact that Arts is underfunded at Melbourne. Subjects usually get cancelled. Another one of my classmates compared his Arts classes to his Commerce classes. He says everything is far superior in Commerce; lecturers get paid better, you get the better buildings/lecture halls, etc.

Of course I would say, do what you REALLY enjoy, but do keep the Arts thing in consideration. In the long run, you'd find Science, Environments, and Commerce has a much more engaging style of learning. Remember, you're at uni to learn, NOT relearn. I often feel as if I'm doing nothing in Arts, apart from READING. On the other hand, my friends are doing group projects, presentations, doing journals, etc. So yeah, what style are you up for? You certainly don't want to be bored in uni.
