My wife is a pro at grabbing exactly the right number of sheets of paper for a print job.

It’s the older generation that’s entitled, not students by Tarretin worldnews

[–]ptrin 1 point2 points ago

I think he's referring to the themes of "you should've saved" and "personal responsibility" above.

Is there any word about the Nipissing riding? Rota lost by just 18 votes.

Having an odd problem with Vim and iTerm2 by thephilsterin vim

[–]ptrin 1 point2 points ago

I have this issue or a similar one. I think it's caused by one of the plugins I use because I don't see this issue when launching vim with "-u NONE".

It's a screen updating issue of some kind... The lines aren't really being deleted.

I thought that looked like the music hall. I was supposed to see Martha Wainwright there but ended up going home sick.

Palacio is a douche. He's a die-hard Ford supporter despite the fact that in his ward more people voted for Smitherman. I'm planning to volunteer for the campaign of the best candidate who runs against him in the next election, but it would be tough to beat him because he's really entrenched in the community.

I had the one that shot pizza... not sure whether it was a van or some other type of vehicle.

Edit: Nostalgia attack!

ELI5: what's the deal with rap music? What makes rap music, and what's the criteria for "good" rap music? by spookieghostin explainlikeimfive

[–]ptrin 2 points3 points ago

I think he/she is referring to rushing phrases slightly or giving a slower than "in-time" delivery.

Albums you like but which are loathed by "true fans" of the band by Evilsmurfin LetsTalkMusic

[–]ptrin 1 point2 points ago

Thrre's a lot of brilliant guitar playing on that album. "Vegetable" comes to mind.

Great links, thanks!

Faster Vim search/replace by tyrmoredin vim

[–]ptrin 1 point2 points ago

One of the only reasons I ever need to open JEdit is to do a search and replace on multiple files within a directory... I know I can open the files in Vim and use :bufdo (and I sometimes do) but it usually involves trial and error since it isn't a command I use every day. Does anyone have any tips?
