We wouldn't. We want smaller government. Income tax accounts for about 50% of federal government revenue. Get rid of it and replace with nothing.

Libertarians don't really have problems with taxes such as sales tax or gasoline tax. They have a problem with the idea of income tax, which assumes the government owns all of what you produce, and secondly for economic reasons the government is taking productive wealth.

A contribution is voluntary. Income taxation is based on force, for if you do not give money to the government they will lock you in a cage.

The title wasn't specific enough. Many libertarians would argue that income taxation is theft because the government therefore has principled access to your income and permits you to keep a certain portion of it. But there are legitimate taxes but would likely have different phrasing such as usage fee and excise tax. Tax merely because you own property or your fruits of your labor would be viewed as theft.

Over 60 students in west Michigan suspended, banned from senior walk, forced to miss exams for simply biking to school this morning; they had an escort from the mayor and police as well. by WestMIRailroaderin WTF

Did kids who rode a car to school get suspended? Idiot principal? Idk, sounds like the senior prank is the principal turning the tables and freaking everyone out by threatening suspension. haha, the students lost this year.

Would you be in favor of leaving Health Care up to States? by kingvitamanin PoliticalDiscussion

Schiff didn't say hyperinflation must occur by 2012, and if it doesn't then he's wrong. No one knows a timetable. What it's based upon are the facts of similar circumstances that have brought down other economies.

Hyperinflation will be the last step and hopefully we never get there. Obviously you don't deny inflation, but apparently your conveying that normal inflation is ok and not theft.

Gary Johnson already has a VP because he didn't get to choose. The libertarian delegates choose the VP.

States technically have the right according to most of their own constitutions, but that doesn't mean its a good idea. There's a reason why this is seeming to be an issue while state run housing, food distribution, cars, etc are not. There's a reason why government involvement with education and healthcare keep costs rising. Too much for me to post here. "How an Economy Grows & Crashes" is a good book by Peter Schiff. He predicted the housing and tuition bubble, amongst other things.

Would you be in favor in leaving housing to states? Everyone needs a place to live? ...

You need to read Peter Schiff's and Ron Paul's books asap because you have no understanding of the constitution and how free markets work.
