What!? That's awesome. On Saturday, I played from the Returner's Hideout to the savepoint just before this part (picked Sabin's sidestory first). So... Genji Glove or Gauntlet?

This is 100% true... by [deleted]in atheism

[–]pbnutbutter 0 points1 point ago

Let me start by saying I am Atheist/Agnostic. And I know I'm going to get downvoted like crazy for this, but I have to say it. This is really not that clever. All the "a guy did that, not God" arguments would utterly fail to convince a Christian that God is not the ultimate cause of whatever their good fortune is.

Luke 6:38 -- "Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again."

If you assume God exists and does what the Bible says he does, as Christians do, then it is not illogical to thank God for the good fortune that is the direct product of other people's efforts. As a Christian, you would just further assume based on scripture that God either enabled you to have the cash to pay for the products and services, worked through those other people, or both.

So if posts and pictures like this are a way of saying "look how illogical Christians are, they are so silly," then they are indicative of a failure to understand the Christian viewpoint described above. If they are a way of saying "God does not exist, men are responsible for Christian's good fortune," they fail to convincingly argue against the existence of god because Christians would just say "God exists, and He works through people."

Ever consider building a screen for it? Seems like a fun project, and it's not that expensive. There are tons of websites that show you how to do it. My roommate did it in college, and it was great.

Look at the dude at the end. His face looked like he may have had some first or 2nd degree burns on it (not an expert). And he wasn't there for very long at all. I guess that racecar fuel must burn insanely hot.

Not having read the article, I just wanted to say that if I were making the caption to this title based on the picture alone I would say "New Gingrich Has Face Made Out of Biscuit Dough."

This doesn't make sense. If you have that greater than sign, does the equals sign even belong?

The "second hand" on a clock or watch does not mean "second" as in "after first but before third." I was always confused because it was the third hand on the clock.

My two cents: The simplest answer, without taking a position on physician-assisted suicide, is that people value the lives of animals less than the lives of humans.

If the audience can't see the characters' eyes or mouths, they can't connect. Ends up being a cartoon. That's one of the advantages of Batman, Cpt America and a host of other superheroes.

Tell that to Hugo Weaving.
