I hear that you like to invite people into your conversations. That's great. Not everyone communicates in the same manner. I am not unwilling. If I'm in a conversation with friends, I'm not inclined to look over at Jane on the end of the table, whose not speaking and say "You haven't said anything in a good while, what do you think of the complexity of cell structures?"

My ex used to attack me after a party because I was talking to her brother or Mom about some topic and didn't invite her to join in. We were in the same fucking room!

By "super controlling", I was also including the entire range of the described behaviors.

The plot is not cohesive and makes assumptions which are absurd. All cops except for Gordon are corrupt? The joker's abilities defy all reason: He can walk into a meeting of all the top crime bosses in the city, alone and unmolested. He can then kill one of their lieutenants with alacrity. He has his men execute plans which would have required foreknowledge: (Gordon decides at the last moment to put the criminals on a ferry, yet when they are aboard, the bombs are in-place and the entire electrical system of both ferries have been co-opted.) The DA becomes 2-face after a 5 minute conversation with the Joker.

Batman inexplicably crashes and passes out and Gordon just happens to be the one on the scene to save him. (The entire chase scene leading up to Joker's arrest is ridiculous. With Joker shooting machine guns and an RPG at the paddy wagon and the police don't even fire a shot.)

There are many more examples. None of it makes sense unless Joker is a minor deity. I think there is a good argument for this, actually, but it offends my sensibilities. ;)
