Depends! I study Psychology, when I write papers, I use number words for whole numbers one through thirteen and numbers for 14 or higher or numbers under 14 with decimal points, say 12.56 or 1.45. It is different for other fields though!

Generally you want to be changing the EQ to match your cans or speakers. What may sound good on a 2000 dollar pair of studio monitors will sound (probably) a bit muddier and less defined in the lower range on most consumer grade stuff. Scooping out the evil low mids is a common fix for less accurate headphones and speakers. In the end, it's up to you to make it sound good. You may like the band but hate the sound engineer, that shouldn't stop you from enjoying it.

I think as time passes and new technologies and techniques for collecting and understanding information emerge, questions once asked by philosophers will fall to emergent sciences to answer. I studied philosophy units concerning autonomy and the soul and at the same time psychology units mainly concerning neurobiology. I think what I was trying to convey with my initial comment was that as a philosopher, I was encouraged to take what information was at hand and make what I could out of it, focusing on what you did know, whereas in the sciences, one is generally much more reserved about passing judgement, focusing on what you do not know.

It sounds like I was implying that they never kick, so I get why the downvotes but yes, for the most part they do just stand there and paw at each other's heads with the occasional kick thrown in. I am actually Australian spent a lot of time on my families olive farm (kangaroos dig olives, so you saw them a lot) and in real life they aren't that fantastic. But I mean, whatever.
