Tuna melt with homemade mayo by psylichonin food

[–]nomise 1 point2 points ago

thank for the good advice. i think the problem I have with following a lean meat, complex starch, high leafy vegetable and fruit diet is that I don't think I can afford enough lean meat and the other ingredients to avoid hunger or tiredness. i am middle to lower income and my job is extremely demanding in terms of energy (intellectually athletically demanding). but your advice is very good and definitely I will keep in mind the possibly of finding sources of those foods I can afford.

i do find if i eat red meat and forgo grains (starches) for a while, that my body feels sort of leaner. i also feel hungry if i dont eat grains (bread/pasta etc). should i just eat more meat then? cos it is expensive to eat meat.....

the thing that bugs me about mayo is that it is Super unhealthy and just oil and fat?

Nightmarish ultraviolet photos of ocean swimmer's skin show how the corexit dispersant chemical, originally used to hide the BP oil from the Gulf spill, are now making it quickly get absorbed into human skin (as well as preventing bacterial decomposition) by georeddin news

[–]nomise 1 point2 points ago

i feel the same way. I do not think our justice system can do the right thing. yet somehow i feel someone or some organisation somewhere either exists or will be set up to somehow ensure every single one of those BP directors employees and their families pay. for ever. i cant do it. no one i know can do it. and even if i could i would not. but i hope someone out there has the resources for this important undertaking. and then also makes public the vengeance which humanity deserves on all oil industry employees, families and directors.

Best sandbox mmo right now?(besides eve) by Digitalmodernismin mmo

[–]nomise 0 points1 point ago

im in the process of trying

1) Lord of the Rings Online: Now it has PvP on an RvR basis and you can play a monster character, this may give it big end game content. Also you can play your songs ingame as a minstrel for other players to hear.

2) Im a big fan of Realms Online though as a sandbox it is very much RvR centric.

3) I'm also playing Eternal Lands -- this is a very basic 3D mmo but it is very open sandbox. very peaceful (in towns) and industrial in game with a constant risk of pking outside towns. This is an open source game so the devs are always ingame talking and listening to the community.

Why LOTRO is a top mmo: hundreds of songs which your character can play online in a band with other players by nomisein mmo

[–]nomise[S] 0 points1 point ago

im not sure i might give it a try myself soon. i played DDO for a while now i might try LOTRO because 1) that play your own music optionis interesting and 2) they noew have Realm PvP, you can choose to levelup a MONSTER character in Lotro and play vs players in a dedicated RvR map.... so it sounds great? what do you think? will you try it now?

I work for EA. by [deleted]in gaming

[–]nomise -8 points-7 points ago*

Listen buddy, you think just because you live in a 1st world country then you are not entitled to complain about things like EA? Then how about the fucking science of economics?? We are meant to be improving things. And you think its ok to let EA continue smashing things up? I say NO!!! I say let economists and people everywhere know WHAT SHIT EA IS DOING!!! Then we can work on improving economic science. Otherwise people just like back and pretend everything is hunky dory. Well it ISN'T!!!

note: and the same goes for the imbalance imposed by capitalism in sectors like banking and journalism. Just look at Goldman and Murdoch!! It's the fucking same thing!! Too much power and money accruing by virtue of their devious crafty misbegotten evil ways!!! I say economics should see how much people are hurting and then FIX IT! At the moment most people like it think "o its cool everything is fine cos its capitalism" WELL GUESS WHAT DWEEBS?!?!? IT ISN'T FINE!!!

This review of "Skyline" may have the best opening paragraph ever. by Anthony_Hopkinsin movies

[–]nomise 3 points4 points ago

i don't understand the reasons why people dislike Skyline. Many seem to criticise the acting or vapid personalities of the characters. Instead, I feel the movie deliberately inserted shallow personalities into the characters. I believe the movie was set in a city somewhat like LA, where Hollywood minded personalities abound. I feel these personalities would have acted precisely like how Skyline depicted them. Therefore, I feel the movie is a consistent and accurate portrayal of how people like that would deal with such a horrifying experience like this alien invasion. With the addition of its very avant-garde notions of alien invasion, Skyline was a very good Sci-fi movie for me.

Can someone help me understand how the astral bodies are moving relative to Earth's movement given a 1.5 hour exposure film of the night sky produces this image? by nomisein AskReddit

[–]nomise[S] 0 points1 point ago

but the Earth rotates on a vertical axis oriented at the poles. the Earth was not rotating on an axis where the person was standing taking the photo? because the Earth is rotating, shouldn't the track of the stars be horizontal lines stretching from left to right?
