I know how you feel. With pokemon yellow, i loved the 3 starters but at one point i wanted more power.

I would say get rid of venusaur all together his stats are generally low but also has terrible speed if i remember correctly. Toss in a dragonite. That should do the trick.

Im not sure about you but for the first 2 generations i was still watching pokemon very frequently. The show helped with names, also i had a poster with all the pokemon on my wall. I was that cool.

I too buy the games later but my friends have much more free cash than I. So i get to play with them when the games come out. Then have time to myself a while later when i do buy them. Worth it yes.

If you want to be on topic with other gamers waiting is not the best choice. Nothing worse than trying to bring up an old game you just bought and everyone have the same enthusiasm as you.
