I know what you mean about the differences, like those between say, Saudi Arabia and The Netherlands, but I think with time extreme countries will surely be less backward (sorry but let's face it, a country where women can't drive is pretty backward). Also If it wasn't for corruption and frustration the people there would be open to new ideas I think. I enjoy dreaming about this but the dream only goes so far..kinda sad!

Heh diplobrat I like that. When I was little I used to avoid the word diplomat and just say yah, my dad works for the foreign office. A while ago I met a girl and she said the same thing, my dad works for the foreign office and I was like is he's a 'foreign service officer?' ehhh gotcha ;) Nuff said!

Ha it does look hipster-ish but I challenge any hipster or anyone of that sort to race me up the royal mile and we'll see who rides fixies for what reasons. Mines pure fitness, not to look cool (although the white tires and matching leather saddle and handlebar tape are going into hipster territory). If you can cycle geared or single speed effortlessly, especially up places like the mile and arthurs seat, I'd recommend getting a fixie to take it to the next level, honestly ;)

I thought the guy who got the tattoo came up with the text himself. Completely ruined it for me. When I first saw this I thought what a cool guy with a cool tattoo but now I think what a moron with a crap tat. I was looking through pictures because I wanted to get a bike related tattoo myself and now I know what NOT to get. Someone else's blog in a place you'll never be able to read it. It's retarded on so many levels. Rant over.

I think not having siblings helped me yah, because I faced the new posts/countries on my own. It might be a good thing, I personally don't like to depend on anyone for anything, so being okay on my own is a big part of that, especially in my circumstances. I think what one decides to judge as good or bad depends on the individual to be honest, you know?
