According to the user agreement (a general definition of spam) it's spam. It slips by because they're all posted by different people, they're conversational, not a deliberate act of spamming. When one person does it a few times they're likely to be outed as a spammer and reported, just like what's happening to you now. If you look at the link you gave earlier you can see that a few users have actually been cancelled for spamming, they're the ones with a username of deleted, mainly ones with a subject line with "% off" or similar in it, just like the ones you posted.

If I buy t-shirts for a dollar, and sell them for 10 dollars, i make 9 dollars gross profit on each t-shirt. If I have a 10% off sale, then I sell the t-shirts for 9 dollars and only make 8 dollars gross on each sale. If I have a 40% off sale, I'm now netting 6 dollars and grossing only 5 dollars on each t-shirt, but if my overheads aren't too high i'm still making a nett profit! If my sale is a success and my sales figures are more than doubled, I'm making money from the sale, not losing it. To know that a sale made a loss you would need access to sales figures, mark-ups, overheads etc.

All the domains this spammer uses are privacy protected, preventing the identity of the registrant from being revealed. However, the spammer made the mistake of registering them at the same time, so (with a couple of gaps) the privacy-protected customer numbers are sequential!

I need none of this information to identify a spam posting. Anything which reads "x% off at commercialwebsite.com" is undoubtedly spam.

I never said he wasn't spamming, I said some of his posts aren't spam, that he lays down a thicker layer of camouflage posts than most spammers.

Googling your username isn't going to help me. Emailing ROH isn't going to encourage them to out their paid spammer, like all the others they'll deny it. In some cases it's easy to see how a spammer makes their money from the spam, in other cases it's not so clear, and sometimes the spammer doesn't make money at all but does it for purely altruistic reasons.

You rarely mention the less profitable parts of the website. I visited the website and found multiple pages of various wrestling related news. Articles of a more commercial nature were more difficult to find. From the news section of the site I could find only 1 article titled after any sale or alteration in pricing structure, from the hundred or more listed. You, however, have linked to 4 articles about pricing from a total of 7 links in all.

It's a series of blatant advertisements for a 40% off sale (except for the bit that's an advertisement for a 50% off sale and the bits that are an advertisement for a pay-per-view event). As with many spammers, I have no way of knowing if you profit or not, your financial success is not a deciding factor. Unprofitable spam is still spam.

To recap: more than half of your postings of links to rohwrestling.com refer to some sort of 40% 50% off sale, you never referred to a sale anywhere else ever, and you rarely mention the less profitable parts of that website.

A reddit based around a commercial venture? what's one of those? Is that different to an ordinary subreddit? I'm only asking because I want to be really sure not to mistakenly call something spam.

Spammers can open their own subreddit, it's an increasingly common technique, they'd call it a commercial venture too, it doesn't give them the right to spam with impunity. Neither does the fact that others have spammed before them. Nothing in that says anything about my abilities. I'm not concerned with the future, and I do not accept that I've been in any way careless here. Your posting reads like spam, the only reason I didn't report it immediately as spam was as a courtesy to an active redditor, but an active redditor can still be a spammer. I still want to know why you think it isn't spam.

Your post title reads like pure spam.

There's lots of people who monitor /new and list the spammers in /r/reportthespammers. Admin monitors /r/reportthespammers and cancels the majority of the spammer accounts listed there.

If you get into a routine of posting titles like "40% off everything at commercialwebsite.com" then you're spamming for that website. Intentional or not, it's spam. The rest of what you post doesn't read like spammer, which is why I didn't just report another spammer.

Please try and avoid spamming, or you'll get listed in /r/reportthespammers sooner or later.

I never left for any reason like that, in fact I never had a big reason to leave, just reddit seemed to get links a little earlier (sometimes), and reddit is easier on the eye, and has more bacon!

I think you want a Chassis Socket. What you're really after is a Chassis Passthrough socket but I've never seen one as a 3.5 Jack (and every one I ever saw in another connector type cost a fortune), so you'll maybe need to fit an ordinary chassis socket and solder up a lead to work with it.

If you still can't find it as a chassis socket, try searching for panel socket, they're often incorrectly described that way.

I see accounts sit dormant for a year and then come back to life regularly. Unfortunately they tend to be spammers.
