Bill Maher: Liberty University Is Not A Real School

Probably going to get downvoted to shit...

I have a few friends that go/went to Liberty because they offered significantly more financial aid than other schools in VA. Maher really took a shit on that school and it didn't deserve it, its a respectable school, and even as an atheist, if an individual wants to go to a Christian institution why is it our business to belittle their accomplishments. College is fucking hard, whether or not you're taking "church" as a class. Its their choice, not ours to make for them. Maher talking shit about Liberty and saying it isn't a real school on the principles that its a christian conservative institution is over kill and its analogous to saying that New College of Florida isn't a real school because they don't have grades and teach to Liberals who want to be hippies and shit. As the community of reddit shouldn't we be able to be open to choices someone makes to go Liberty and accept them. Telling them their diploma isn't equal is bull.

Is Maher saying that *BIOL 213 Human Anatomy/Physiology I (taken from the course catelog) isn't equal to any other Anatomy class at a different university.

GHIST 150 was a solid class, however, it was my first semester here at JMU (four years ago) and i blew it off constantly, I wish I had taken it more seriously because it really helps develop skills to analyze issues.

Cluster 2:

GMUS was by far the easiest class, however, if you arn't interested in classical music, avoid it.

In other news, congratulations on choosing JMU the best school in the known universe. It really is an amazing school. some other advice, don't fuck up your GPA off the bat, its hard to recover. I'm still paying the price for freshmen year first semester...

agreed with what Gishuzzaji said. There are "bro"s here and there are entitled my shit don't stink types of people here. But 99% of people here who act like douches for a week quickly get put into their place and realize that JMU is a community of people from different walks of life and that being kind is much more important than flashing their beamer. Student org night helped me, join shit your interested in and you won't have to work to make new friends because you already know common interests. that goes for every school not just jmu...

If you're interested in CompSci and Bio. look into ISAT IKM/Biosystems concentrations. i'm a senior and its awesome. I've also found the grad schools and jobs alive LOVE ISAT majors because we are well versed in everything from programming, to physics, to biology.

I had a 3.4 and got in no problem. this was 4 years ago though and I've heard that its become as competitive as Tech and UVA. You shouldn't have a problem though.
