Confirmed. 10 year fine dining server here. Here is an easy worst tips to best tips scenario:

Black Asian Lesbian European (tourists and/or on business) Women (straight) Couple (straight, white or American Asian) Table of business guys Male Gay couples Table of 6 or more business guys too drunk to notice the 18% auto grat on their bill.

No matter what always gave the best service even when I knew I was going to be stiffed. Other tables make it up in being generous so it all evens out in the end.
