I'll buy you a month of reddit gold if you just use some pptp vpn a free one on a win7 64 box with all updates and see if it works for you.

I just want to see if others are experiencing this issue as well, or if it's isolated to my and my family's machines.

I am connected right now to the vpn, but see no difference, IP address is still the same.

Xubuntu works fine. None of my windows machines do, nor my sisters nor my aunts, tried with two different vpn services.

shouldn't be that complicated though, it's always worked in the past and still works fine on linux, and shouldn't be effecting multiple machines.

I am thinking maybe it was a windows patch that has broken something. Maybe could you see if you experience this same issue with a fully patched win7 system?

I've tried several machines.

No error message, I only noticed it because there was an issue when I was no longer going to google.se when connected. I checked whatismyip.com and the ip address is still the same. I'll try ipconfig when I get home tonight I only have my linux netbook here at work.
