To expand the workforce you need the population and demand for goods and service to constantly grow. Demographic trends seem to indicate that in the USA the population and demand for goods and services are starting to decline or contract due to drop in child births and lack of disposable income. Until both of these pickup, the economy will be flat for a while.

Auto Mechanic for a trade job. Millions of cars/trucks sold every year somebody has to keep them running.

Lot of stuff out of the 70's: Black Water(Doobie Brothers), Sweet Home Alabama(Skynard), anything from Jim Croce or James Taylor or early Eagles.

As for some more modern stuff, look up on Youtube Iron & Wine and James Mcmurty. I&W look up Boy With a Coin and for James Mcmurty look up Choctow Bingo or Safe Side.

I eat fast food once a week. Usually on my Friday I hit In and Out Burger. If I know I'm going out for dinner, I reduce calories during the day to compensate. Don't worry too much, enjoy yourself.
