Did this one time when a friend of a friend kept trying to steal my booze. I was 18 and all we had was Mike's Hard Cranberry or something gross like that. So we filled an empty bottle with vinegar and offered it to him. He enthusiastically grabbed the bottle, said "Oh HELL yeah" and twisted the cap open. I'm not sure how he didn't figure it out then (the cap wasn't on very tight) but he started to chug....then spray the contents of his mouth all over the kitchen table. Joke was on us, I guess, cause we had to clean it up.

These are silverfish. Much less gross, and usually found near water (I always used to find them in the bathtub).

It's unacceptable for these guys to be behaving this way -- they're acting like they're 18. You are clearly more mature than all of them, your boyfriend included. I'm not one to say "lose your shitty friends or lose me," but really, show yourself some respect and move out unless his kicks them out permanently.

One day last summer, I picked up take out to bring to my boyfriend as a surprise (we were moving out of the neighborhood soon). I was meeting him in the park where a band we like was playing, and I had to wait for the food, so I was rushing to go meet him and not be too late. I walked down a block where a few 12-13 year old kids were sitting on a stoop. I didn't think anything of it, just walked right past them, hustling to get to the park. But when I was a few houses away, one of them (a girl) jumps down to the sidewalk and starts yelling after me, "Hey! You're so ugly! Maybe get some contacts and then you'll get a boyfriend!"

The kicker? I had gotten new glasses that day. All the excitement I had for surprising my boyfriend with dinner and showing him my new glasses was gone.

Yes, because teens who then disobey their teachings aren't equipped at all to protect themselves against pregnancy (and STI's, for that matter). Some don't even know that they can get pregnant from sex.

One of my favorite classes was color photography. My class was lead by an MFA student, Jo-ey Tang. He was amazing! Very down to earth and really flexible with due dates and whatnot.

A bunch of classes were a discussion of theory, then a project assignment (either long term or short term), then either time to go outside and shoot or use the darkrooms. Getting into a groove and working in the individual darkrooms made me feel like a pro, but there are a lot of people around to help if you're confused. It was a fun way to get some cool prints to hang in my apartment.

Oh, and easy A. All you have to do is show up (most of the time) and be polite during critiques.
