TROPHY CASE

One-Year Club

Martha Coakley is a terrible candidate: one of her beliefs? "When women were involved in such cases (abuse of minors),... it was usually because of the presence of 'a primary male offender.'"

It's interesting how hard the right is trying; "terrible candidate" is the concerted talking point.

Martha Coakley: (observant) Catholics shouldn't be allowed in emergency rooms; her quote: "You can have religious freedom, but you probably shouldn't work in an emergency room."

People who are unable to fulfill basic requirements of their job should not have that job. Particularly, people in emergency rooms.

College students arrested for refusing to pay tip after terrible service

That involves a different law. This case is about what happens when you enter an establishment, take a product and refuse payment.

Phone companies and other utilities use the protections of the well established credit reporting system. And they accept the risk of delayed payments in order to retain a long term contract. They could charge customers with "theft of services", but police generally would only interview you for a report, send it to the prosecuting attorney, who who decide whether to press charges. A court case would nearly always cost more than the bill, because there's always a grey area.

The cell phone company also has the protection of listing your balance as an uncollectible receivable and taking a tax deduction. They could also issue you a 1099 so you'd have to pay income tax on it.

Or they could sell your debt to a collection agency.

Retail establishments generally don't have the volume to fall back on these options. Face-to-face theft will always be a more severe crime than not meeting Net 30 terms. These places don't front anyone anything. You can't take their product and leave without paying.

This is regarded as petty larceny, a misdemeanor, punishable by up to a year in jail. That won't happen, and it could probably be downgraded to disorderly conduct. An arrest is standard procedure in the case of petty larceny. This equates to shoplifting.

You are confused with the semantics. There is a fee added to parties of a certain size at nearly all restaurants.

If I quit smoking today, how long will it take me to be able to pass a drug test?

m0neybags 2 points3 points 4 months ago[-]

You can give yourself drug tests that you can buy at CVS. They use the same stuff at a lab. I used first check, passed it and the test. I had smoked ten days before the test, but that was just an isolated incident.

If you are can't pass the store tests, find a friend that has clean urine, and use theirs. You will have to use handwarmers to regulate the temperature around 90 degrees.

You'll pass though if you have at least 3 weeks. I would recommend doing extra cardio for three weeks. Drink lots of random detox teas and cranberry juice if it makes you feel better.

BTW I read 3000 pages of threads on Marijuana.com's forums and they address this 24/7/365. It's worth a look.

The only relationship I've ever had is destroyed by my wife's infidelity. 20+ years of being faithful to her go down the drain. AMA
