Implantation bleeding occurs when the egg is settling itself into the lining of the uterus. A little bit of that lining sloughs off and makes its way out. It's usually minimal in amount, and a pinkish/brownish color more than red. Some women mistake implantation bleeding for a period, though in my case it was noticeably different.

The kicks are wonderful. They're still pretty weak for me and not as frequent as I'd like. But he's a mover and a shaker.

To answer the OP's question: I felt a little "off" leading up to when I was supposed to have my period. Kind of light headed and just weird. I had some implantation bleeding and I'd just written a series about early pregnancy symptoms so I suspected I was pregnant and confirmed the day my period was due.

I sent my sister a copy of the ultrasound that clearly showed gender. When she called to say "Holy awesome! A boy!" I told her no, it's actually a girl with a penis. My child is just going to have to learn what being in this family will mean for him. lol

No, I don't think nakedness is innately sexual. I should have specified that it's the photo's that seem sensually posed that I find bizarre because there does seem to be a sexual element.

I hope so. If the standards remain the same (for both women and men) then I see no reason why this should be avoided by the armed forces. We will see if that is actually the case.

I hope the military can become desegregated without two sets of standards being implemented or a general lowering of standards. These two things have happened in the past and I think it does more to injure gender relations than help.

I'm not offended by nudity, I'm confused by the difference between pregnant/not pregnant. I like your opinion though in all honesty, I don't share it. I think sexuality can be expressed in myriad ways without actual sex happening (but nudity by itself is not necessarily sexual).

I know I come off as such a prude, I guess it's a matter of how the photos are done. Some look classical and beautiful and empowering and celebratory to me, while others..... not so much.

My sister confirmed she has experienced full bladder unload. It's good to have the heavy duties on hand. I will appreciate the last vestiges of bodily control I have before it all goes away.....

This is a good point. I'll pass it on to the sis. I believe her thinking is that it gets real gross, real quick, and you'll want to change it as often as possible, anyway. But you're right about time and exhaustion being factors. The incontinence thing I KNOW she's dealt with. Even months after her last was born, when we hang out she seems to always be teetering on the precipice of "losing it". I always take it to be a testament to how hilarious I am, but I realize it's just another lovely after-effect of childbirth.
