Would/Could the body decompose? Could a decomposing body spark life on the red planet by fertilizing a patch of the rusty ground? Would the bacteria on the body be able to survive the Martian conditions?

I know these are ridiculous questions, and their answers may mean nothing, but I think it makes for an interesting hypothetical.

Edit: All the sudden downvotes interest me; I know these may be naive questions, but I still think they are thought-provoking questions.

It could be a last-minute effort to prevent today's footage & pictures from getting out.

But it could also be sign of a second wave of arrests; they might try to arrest Musavi & Karrubi (Opposition leaders).

They would do it, if they know they can keep it silent for a while. But they will hesitate if they feel the world's watching (in the past, they have unblocked some websites, under international pressure)

How severe is the blockade?

Gmail & Yahoo mail are blocked. This is the most important case & is totally unprecedented in Iran. The reason it's so dangerous is:

after the first round of crackdown, many persian news site were blocked. On the other hand, official Newspapers have received an order from Supreme National Security Council NOT to publish anything about Musavi, Opposition & election fraud anymore.

As a result, most of users have come to rely on e-mail to receive News of the opposition movement. By blocking E-mail services, the government will be able to keep people isolated from each other.

Some say they basically can't "log in" in any website. (I have not verified this yet, but if it's true, do you know how that is possible? )

Many English language news websites, like CNN, have been blocked.

In many areas, the connection speed has decreased significantly, effectively rendering internet, useless.

EDIT: @ Jimshorts & Zomgcopters: Many thanks. If you send CNN a letter, please mention the email blocking. Since some news organizations have covered the protests, but have missed the internet crackdown that happened after it.

EDIT: some have pointed out that the problem with log in is due to https blocking. Is there a specific way to fix this? beside using anti-filter software?

Never underestimate the power of your upvotes & letters; take this from a fellow redditor who's experiencing an uprising first hand: you can't imagine how powerful we became as a people, when we stopped speculating about the consequences of our actions & whether they will bring change in short term; when the time came & when we poured to the streets, we didn't have a plan, nor we thought it will last more than a day. We all seperately thought we'll be beaten, dispersed, or arrested in the first few hours. But we were so sick of all that had happened, that we couldn't cared less; we had to raise our voice. And it was only then, that we became a people.

Great change is often not the work of a happy confident hero, but the work of an army of depressed hopeless ordinary men & women who can't help but keep marching ahead, in their small uncertain steps.

This is a long fight; true reform doesn't happen over night & one more person who who gets to know what is going on, is another small victory. Reading stuff on internet might seem something mundane; but believe me, if it was so mundane, they wouldn't be constantly blocking sites & arresting bloggers & admins.

Thank you reddit for what you did tonight; for no matter how small, how trivial it seemed, it was truly revolutionary.
