I have very thick hair myself and can't say this has ever happened to me. However may I suggest using the product "it's a 10". I put it on my hair right after the shower and its like my brush just slides through my hair for the most part. I told my sister about it because its also really good if you use a flat iron and she had already been using it and loved it too.

Something similar. My younger cat used to be small enough to run under the our old one. A few weeks ago he found out he isn't so little anymore and ran head first into our old cats stomach. (no cats were hurt during the making of this story)
