An Android/Google Tv box/puck like Roku box and Apple TV. by yomama84in Android

I stated that incorrectly. I meant that Android doesn't support hardware acceleration on x86 yet. At least not at the time the Revue was released.

The problem is that the Logitech Revue has an x86 processor, and GPU acceleration is not supported on x86 processors just yet.

And still underpowered. I think I've finally settled on buying a Mac Mini.

Yes, unfortunately this is an issue for some devices. I've been working on a fix.

This idea has come up, but the mic would pick up the sound of the ringtone, thereby setting an inaccurate volume. Also, this wouldn't work for notification volume because notifications don't play for more than a second or so.

It really depends on the sensor, and there are several types. You can read more here.

It takes samples at an interval. In free it's every two minutes (the default in paid). In the paid version you can set it via the Accuracy feature.

The paid version has all the options enabled and a widget. The free version does not.

For Android development you can probably easily get $150-$200 an hour. You'll need to prepare a quote though. Usually projects are fixed bid.

It adjusts your ring volume to match the ambient noise around you. It was featured in Google Play about a month ago. You can find out more here: http://www.ringdimmer.com/

randomizer app? by sheisaevalin Android

[–]kensuke155 3 points4 points ago*

Here's the source for such an app.

https://github.com/pardom/Pickrand

It was in Google Play, but I removed it because it didn't really fit with my other published app. It's a sample app I wrote for a commercial product of mine, so the library it depends on is the trial version. I just shows a notification nag. If you can wait a bit, I'll post a build without the nag.

Edit: Pickrand.apk
