Great attitude! If they don't seem to hit it off right away on the first date but don't hate each other, you might try a second date a few days later and see how that goes. I did that with Saki and Kiri. It wasn't a mutual love at first sight but they seemed like a good match. I decided to wait for a second date, and at the second date I knew she was the one (even if she was slightly reluctant).

Look into the military academies as well. Also, IRC some college ROTC programs offer scholarships/financial aid so look into that also.

Just going to throw this out there: if friend/girlfriend moves in, it doesn't hurt to have a roommate agreement (written or verbal) that states responsibility for bills, cleaning, house rules, etc. Helps get everyone on the same page and can make things easier down the road.

Turbotax.com is pretty easy to use, but it may skip tax breaks that you qualify for. Federal taxes are free to file and state taxes don't cost too much to file this way.

Sometimes banks have a deal with tax prepares (i.e. H&R Block) for a discounted rate. My bank advertises this every year around tax time.

You can also do the word of mouth method, when I was in Arizona I used an independent tax prepare who only charged me $25 because I didn't have a substantial income, I think my mom paid $50 or so.

Woohoo! I have two buns both obtained in America.

Saki: Male, approx 4-4.5lb, 2 years old

I purchased Saki from a hobby breeder (yes, I now know this is bad) who claimed he was a mix between an angora and a mini-rex. I know his coloring is broken black but not sure how accurate the breed ids were.

Kiri Female, 5lb, ~2 years

I adopted Kiri from the local humane society. She was abandoned outdoors so they didn't know her exact age or potential breeds. The lady from the rescue guessed palomino, but her fur doesn't seem quite as vibrant as a palomino and she's about 5-6lb too small. I suspect she's a lop mix because of the roundness of the face and spacing of her ears.

Agreed, the prices really aren't that unreasonable. I paid ~$70 to neuter my boy at a spay/neuter clinic that had experience with rabbits. Local humane society/rabbit rescue is a great resource for rabbit savvy vets for spay/neuter and general care.

Coloring definitely looks cottontail but he's a bit too big to be one. What does his sister look like? Might be a mix.

Edit: realized Petunia is the sister. Probably a mix in that case.

Adorable! Coloring is similar to my Kiri but I suspect that she is part lop and yours doesn't have a lop face. About how big is he/she?

Two buns are twice the fun! Either way you should get him neutered, he'll live a longer and healthier life. It can be a bit pricey, but there are sometimes vets who are rabbit savvy and can perform a neuter in expensively.

My understanding is that male and female are easiest to bond. Male-male bonds can be done but may be trickier. Personal experience is that my female was more territorial than my male but for him it was love at first sight (not so much for her). Also, it's best to go on bun dates at your local rescue. Plus side of a rescue bun is they ate often spayed/neutered and the staff can tell you about the bun's personality.

Properly rebonding the bunnies will be extremely beneficial and may actually help your dwarf male to learn to trust you. I recently adopted a female mix and bonded her with my dwarf male (who already trusted me). Her seeing him trust me with pets and treats helped her to open up to trusting me. While bonding and even after, humping is 100% normal. My two have been bonded for a few months now, and my boy still humps. It's not a sexual thing, its a pecking order thing.

Best advice in the mean time, get down on his level, and let him come to you. If he presents for grooming, then groom/pet him, otherwise try not to be too hands on.

An alternative to yogurt drops are dried fruits (unsweetened perferably). Buns love them and they are healthier (in moderation).
