I am going to have to disagree here. Fox should be taken off the air if FOX does something wrong. If NOTW and the Murdoch's broke the law then those entities should be punished, not related entities. Or maybe I'm just naive.

The US is still the second largest manufacturing country in the world (Only China manufactures more) and the highest exporter in terms of 'real' value. And entertainment isn't the top. The US exports huge machinery (like CAT construction vehicles and Boeing airplanes), also semiconductors is a huge thing still made in the US.

I hope this happens. While a blackout would probably bring a lot of attention to the issue, I wonder if many people will just assume Wikipedia is down. Would it possibly be better to pull a 4-chan and have a banner/page that explains why the content is not available?
