My boyfriend introduced me to reddit and I actually tried so hard at first to stop him from finding out my account, but he eventually figured out from talking to me.

I have friends who left for school abroad that I skype with frequently to keep in touch, but I really hate webcamming. I'm always so scared that the video will lag and my face will be frozen on screen in some awkward expression.

HAHA. I'm also in a long distance relationship too, so I know that phone calls are very important.

For some reason, my boyfriend's phone mic is pretty sensitive, so I can hear it when he's doing anything but (pretending to) give his full attention. I actually heard him wash the dishes once and I was more amused with the idea of him with an apron than the fact that he wasn't actually paying attention.

Has your girlfriend never realized you were multitasking and pointed it out?

But you need to realize that the worst thing you could do right now, although tempting, is to go on a spree of random hookups.

Now that you've broken it off with her, I think it's time for you to move on. Maybe you could get back to life as it was without her-- hang out with friends, catch up on your hobbies-- just don't rush into having to find someone to replace her.

Number 2 is important because you don't want to be wasting your life away being glum over the distance, but it's also important to let her know what's going on in your life.

I'm speaking from the girl's perspective in a long distance relationship. (Not that it matters whether it's the guy or the girl, but there's always the stereotype of the girl-waiting-for-the-guy which I actually relate to, especially since I'm more of the emotional and needy type >.<) It was so difficult for me knowing that he was going off and having his own adventures. At first, I was sad because I wasn't sharing any of the experiences, but then I realized that if he was willing to tell me everything that happened that day, it sort of made up for me not being there.
