There is an age limit for trees? Shit!

J/k but you may be right, 33 here so I may be a bit too much your senior although still young at heart.

Thanks, we have been trying to be very smart with our investing/savings we try to live within our means but still have a nice quality of life. We both feel very fortunate to be able to provide a good start for our daughter. We are also hoping our dog is a fighter, would love to have my daughter grow up with her. Working on car and house loans next on our path to freedom!

I agree, was posting from my mobile and just wanted to get it out there. I think combined between my wife and I we had about $55k in loans when we got married. We graduated in 2000 and 2002 and were making a little more than minimum payments until we got married. We have been paying on them as a couple since 2005 and we were paying $800 for month for several years until they hit about $25k when we bumped up to $1300/month. That lasted about 1.5 years then we went back to $800/mo. When we married she was making $60k and I was making $40k, now she makes $105k and I make $65k. Expenses average? Difficult to elaborate but we probably saved $500/mo after all payments. We probably could have paid them off faster but we were also trying to aggressively save towards our 401ks and RothIRAs. Time to celebrate because we just knocked off $800/mo for this and $400/mo for our dogs chemo. Time to rebuild cash reserve as a series of events including first child, dogs illness, car repairs have knocked it down lower than we are comfortable with.

What part of it violates the constitution do you not understand? It's really very very simple. Just because something may seem trivial to you doesn't mean it should be dismissed. Look up the definition of slippery slope and hopefully you will begin to understand that if you begin letting little things like this slide they will lead to bigger and bigger encroachments into the separation of church and state.

Let me give you an example. You see your child stealing a pack of gum from a grocery store, you know it's illegal but hey, it's only a pack of gum right? Not a big deal. Wrong. Stealing is illegal and if you dont correct this behavior immediately you are implying to your child that stealing is "ok" as long as it's just a little thing, I mean you can easily ignore something so non offensive and non threatening because it doesn't cost you an ounce of effort. Problem is, you have just taught your child a horrible lesson and they will most likely continue to push the boundaries of what is so non offensive and non threatening until it requires severe repercussions in order to correct the behavior. By addressing the problem before it gets out of hand you prevent it from snowballing into something much much more serious.

Exactly, which is why a banner such as this one obviously promoting Christianity with phrases such as "Our Heavenly Father" should either be removed, amended into a secular banner, or all religions should be equally represented.

She probably wasn't offended at all. What she wanted is for the school to not openly violate the constitution, is that so much to ask?

It being a piece of history is of zero significance. It being a violation of the constitution is of absolute importance.
